Structural and histochemical features on the integumentary system of Takifugu poecilonotus were examined by means of the light microscopy. Integumentary system is composed outer epidermal layer and inner dermal layer. The stratified epidermal layer consists of supporting cells, mucous cell, club cell, granular cell and vacuolar cells. Gland of the epidermal layer could be classified into unicellular and multicellular gland. Mucous cell contains mucosal materials of neutral glycoprotein. The basal plates of spine and chromatophores are observed in the dermal layer of compact connective tissue.

Soyasaponins are glycosylated, which gives rise to a wide diversity of structures and functions. We evaluated for inhibitory effects of 4 soyasaponins on antigen-induced degranulation in RBL-2H3 Cells. 4 soyasaponins had shown dose-dependently inhibited histamine and β-hexosaminidase.
