Range Extended Electric Vehicle is simultaneously focused on the environmentally friendly features of pure-electric vehicles, and the convenience of the parallel-type plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. The breadth of RE-EV’s market will be expanded prior to dissemination of the full-scaled pure electric vehicle and the building of a large-scale infrastructure. Thus, the national government and Ulsan city council, by conducting the ‘Green RE-EV Car Parts Development and Research Infrastructure Project’, are assisting domestic core parts manufacturing companies to develop the RE-EV’s core components, and are building a joint R&D, testing and evaluation, and mass-production infrastructure specializing in RE-EV.

The nature of the signals collected by an SEM(Scanning Electron Microscope) in order to form images are all dependent on the detector used to collect them, and the quality of an acquired image is strongly influenced by detector performance. Therefore, the development of detector with high performance is very important in pulling up the resolution of SEM. This study describes an experiment and an evaluation on a supplementation with existent secondary electron detector, manufacturing a scintillator and conducting an analysis of secondary electron in chamber.
