본 연구는 학교 교육의 수요자인 초?중등학교의 학생과 학부모의 학교 교육에 대한 만족도를 체계적으로 측정할 수 있는 학교 교육만족도 조사 도구를 개발하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 학생ㆍ학부모 만족도 관련 국내ㆍ외 선행 연구를 분석하여 학교 교육의 여건과 과정 그리고 결과에 대한 학생 만족도와 학부모 만족도의 조사 영역 별로 조사 지표를 개발하고 개발된 지표에 근거하여 조사 문항을 개발하였다. 전문가와 현장 교사들의 협의회를 통해서 내용 타당도를 검토하고, 본 조사를 통해서 초·중등학교 조사 도구에 대한 크론바하 α와 측정의 표준오차의 신뢰도와 지표 간 상관과 지표와 지표의 총점 간 상관, 탐색적 요인 분석에 의한 타당도와 구조 방정식을 사용한 확인적 요인 분석에 의한 구인 타당도를 제시하였다. This study was designed to develope school education satisfaction instruments which can systematically measure the satisfaction level of main customer with school education such as elementary and secondary school students and parents. To achieve this purpose, satisfaction indicators and items were developed on the given school conditions, processes, and outcomes for the students and parents through the literature review. Content validity was reviewed by professionals and teachers. A survey was conducted on 17,195 students and 17,195 parents from 521 primary, middle, and high school. On the basis of survey data, we get the instruments" reliability and validity such as cronbach"s alpha, standard error of measurement, correlations between indicators, indicator-total score correlations, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis using structural equations model.<BR> Based upon the data analysis, 75 items of 14 indicators and 80 items of 15 indicators were finally selected each for the student and the parents satisfaction survey instruments. Cronbach"s ? s were over .525 and standard error of measurement were relatively fine. The correlations between indicators and the indicator-total score correlations were slightly high but indicator-total score correlations were so higher than correlation between indicators. It means that there exists the discriminating power between indicators and the indicators constitute the unique dimension of educational satisfaction on total score. By way of exploratory factor analysis, it was found that student and parents satisfaction are each composed of one factor and the first factor of them explain 53% of total variance. As a result of the construct validity through the confirmatory factor analysis by the structural equation model, the instruments were found to have the fitness of the theoretical model. In conclusion, it was found that, the newly developed school satisfaction survey instruments has comparatively good reliability, validity and construct validity and so has acceptable psychometric characteristics.
