Synopsis This paper describes the present state and prospect on the maintenance and management of concrete structures in the fields of Civil Engineering. First, the present state is shown on the methods of inspection, sound evaluation, repair and strengthening and survaying after remendance which have been adopted or proposed by public organizations or instilutions. Next, some problems included in the present methods of daily, periodical, incidental or detailed inspection are pointed out. Moreover, ideal methods of maintenance and management are indicated together with the problems to be solved hereafter for establishment of them.

This experiments were carried out to investigate differences of the pressure connect with the nozzle-turn, sprayingdepth and sprinkler-distance of Common Sprinkler. The exprimental results are summarized as fallows. 1. The difference of pressure was occured at 0.05~0.23kg/㎠ spraying-loss to install one nozzle. 2. Under the change of pressure, the difference of spraying-depth showed at 3.7mm/hr with 1.6kg/㎠ sprinkler pressure, 3.0mm/hr with 1.0kg/㎠ And also the number of sprayer-turning was 108 and 102 respectively. 3. The faster the pivot of sprinkler turns under the same pressure, the more sprays quantity required. 4. The maximum spraying distance and spraying-depth showed at 1.6kg/㎠ the Common Sprinkler Pressure. 5. When the pressure of spraying was 1.0 to 1.6kg/㎠ the most optimum nozzle interval were found 18 to 20m, because the average depth of spraying is 3.05mm/hr at the spot of 8 to 9m a diamoter.
