메시지 복사 제한을 통한 향상된 PRoPHET 라우팅 프로토콜

Delay tolerant network is a network where messages are delivered using a store-carry-forward way in an environment that end-to-end connectivity between source node and destination node is not guaranteed. In PRoPHET(Probabilistic Routing Protocol using History of Encounters and Transitivity) protocol, which is a representative delay tolerant network protocol, a message is forwarded after duplication to a node with a higher delivery predictability to a destination node of the message. In this paper, an improved PRoPHET routing protocol through the restriction of message duplication is proposed, where the number of forwarding of a message is counted and restricted by a threshold value. Performance analysis results show that the proposed protocol has better delivery ratio and delivery latency for most of threshold values and better overhead ratio for all threshold values than PRoPHET protocol.
