Adsorption equilibria of Freon-113(trichlorotrifluoroethane, CCl₂FCClF₂) on two activated carbons were measured at 298-473 K by using a static adsorption apparatus. Granular activated carbon(Norit B4, crushed 20-40 mesh) and activated carbon fiber(KF-1500) were used as adsorbents. They were regenerated overnight at 473 K under vacuum condition before experiments. The portion of the reversible to the total uptake increased with temperature and the adsorption at 473 K was found to be completely reversible. All the isotherms obtained in this study were type I. They showed no apparent hysteresis. The heat of adsorption calculated from Clausius-Clapeyron equation remained nearly constant irrespective of the surface coverage. Experimental data were correlated by BET, Langmuir, and Dubinin-Astakhov equations.

현재 대부분의 학습 공간 대여시스템은 관리자가 필요하고 사용가능 시간에 제약이 있어 관리자와 사용자 모두 불편함을 겪고 있다. 본 논문에서는 Android 어플리케이션을 사용하여 학습공간을 대여하고 부여받은 키를 통해 관리자 없이 도어락을 개/폐함으로써 24시간 사용가능한 학습 공간 대여 시스템을 구현하였다. 라즈베리파이 웹 서버를 통해 안드로이드 클라이언트의 대여, 도어락 개/폐, 반납 등의 요청이 이루어지고, 서버의 요청을 받은 아두이노가 도어락을 제어한다. 무인 시스템의 활용으로 관리 부담을 감소시키고 사용자의 편의성과 공간 활용도를 증가시킬 수 있다. Most of study room rental systems are managed by a human, so limited working hour cause much inconvenience of the customers. In this paper, we develop an Android application and its server system for 24-hour unmanned rental service. Customers make reservation through the application, and a study room doorlock is managed with a cyber key approved by a server. We implemented the system with Raspberry Pi server, Android client program, and smart auto-doorlock controlled by Arduino circuit. This unmanned system can reduce the administrative burden and increase user convenience and space utilization.

Subglottic cysts are rare but can cause significant airway obstruction that potentially threatens infants’ lives. It is critically important to suspect subglottic cysts in infants with upper-airway obstructive symptoms because it can be treated effectively with only marsupialization without tracheostomy or complicated surgery. Here, we report an infant case of subglottic cyst, who showed prominent stridor and respiratory distress that abruptly progressed 2 months after extubation. The patient was born prematurely and had a history of endotracheal intubation in for a total of 16 days. He was stable with minimal stridor without respiratory distress until he was successfully discharged from the neonatal intensive care unit. However, he showed abrupt progress in stridor and respiratory difficulty about 2 weeks after discharge. Laryngoscopic exam revealed multiple subglottic cysts obstructing the trachea, and all of them were successfully removed by marsupialization. No recurrence of subglottic cysts was observed for 12 months thereafter. Subglottic cysts should be primarily suspected in infants with stridor, especially with a history of prematurity and intubation. Increased awareness of this fatal but curable condition is needed for timely and proper management. (Allergy Asthma Respir Dis 2022;10:118-122)

두가지 활성탄에 대한 4가지 할로카본(CFC-113, CFC-11, Methylene Chloride, 1,1,1-TCE)의 흡착평형을 용량법으로 473K의 진공에서 밤새 처리한 후에 298-473K에서 측정하였다. Clausius-Clapeyron식으로 구해진 흡착열은 Henry's law constants로 구한 흡착열과 같은 크기의 정도(order of magnitude)를 보였으며 표면점유율에 상관없이 거의 일정하였다. 실험측정치를 BET상관식, Langmuir식, Dubinin-Astakhov식으로 해석하였으며 흡착제의 변수를 결정하였다. Dubinin-Astakhov식의 지수 n은 1.2∼2.7의 범위를 보였으며 이 값들은 흡착질과 흡착제간의 상호 작용의 의존도를 보여주었다. 흡착특성에너지 E와 지수 n은 흡착질의 분자직경 d에 의해 상관 관계를 맺을 수 있었다. The exponent n in Dubinin-Astakhov equation ranged from 1.2 to 2.7 depending on the adsorbate-adsorbent system. The characteristic energy of adsorption E and the exponent n were correlated by the molecular diameter d of the adsorbate.
