Currently, automobile steering system is increasingly being converted to electrified parts. In the electric steering system, the proportion of parts designed to generate high Rack force against high load is used as a Belt-type R-EPS is increasing. Accordingly, in the event of a problem of Belt-type R-EPS part, a partial replacement is required in order to reuse the usable parts, which is accompanied by an adjustment and inspection in terms of belt tension. Belt Type R-EPS partial replacement is possible only if a repair shop owns a tension meter necessary for belt tension adjustment, so it is being implemented limitedly. In this study, among the methods that can cope with the tension meter used for belt tension inspection, possible method is being reviewed without a tension meter by using mobile phone sound source, furthermore by developing a mobile application, it can be used in a repair shop in near future.
