In this paper, fully embedded and miniaturized diplexer device has been developed and characterized for dual-band/mode CDMA handset applications. The size of the embedded diplexer is significantly reduced by embedding high Q circular spiral inductors and high DK MIM capacitors into a low cost organic package substrate. The fabricated diplexer has insertion losses and isolations of -0.5 and -23㏈ at 824-894㎒ and -0.7 and -22㏈ at 1850-1990㎒, respectively. Its size is 3.9㎜ × 3.9㎜ × 0.77㎜ (height). The fabricated diplexer is the smallest one which is fully embedded into a low cost organic package substrate.

밀리타리스 동충하초(Cordyceps militaris)의 인플루엔자백신 적응면역에 미치는 영향

Cordyceps militaris has shown to have various pharmacological activities including an immune-modulatory effect. Previously, we reported that anti-influenza effect of C. militaris in DBA/2 mice was mediated by increased IL-12 and the activation of NK cells. In this study, we investigated the effect of C. militaris on adaptive immune responses using DBA2 mice immunized with influenza vaccine. To determine the effect of C. militaris on antigen presentation capability, we treated RAW 264.7 cells with various concentrations of ethanol extract of C. militaris, which showed a significant upregulation of CD86 (B7.2), CD284 (TLR4), CD40, H-2k (MHC I) and I-Ad (MHC II). To examine the direct effect of C. militaris on adaptive immune responses, we immunized DBA2 mice with influenza vaccine in presence or absence of C. militaris. After 2 or 4 weeks, influenza-specific T cell proliferation, HAI titers and IFN-γ production were measured in plasma or PBMCs isolated from animals. Influenza-specific T cell proliferation and HAI titers were not considerably increased in immunized mice in presence of C. militaris. However, the production of IFN-γ was much greater in immunized mice with C. militaris as adjuvant than only immunized mice.

In this paper, flicker noise characteristic and channel hot carrier degradation of NMOSFETs with plasma nitrided oixde (PNO) and thermally nitrided oxide (TNO) are analyzed in depth. Compared with NMOSFET with TNO, flicker noise characteristic of NMOSFET with PNO is improved significantly because nitrogen density in PNO near the Si/$SiO_2$ interface is less than that in TNO. However, device degradation of NMOSFET with PNO by channel hot carrier stress is greater than that with TNO although PMOSFET with PNO showed greater immunity to NBTI degradation than that with TNO in previous study. Therefore, concurrent investigation of the reliability as well as low frequency noise characteristics of NMOSFET and PMOSFET is required for the development of high performance analog MOSFET technology.

A nonlinear dynamic model for the shaft-disk-blade unit is developed in this study. In this regard, the rotating flexible blade, with a pre-twist angle, attached to a rigid disk driven by a shaft which is flexible in torsion is developed. The rotor-blade coupled model is derived using Lagrange equation in conjunction with the assumed mode method to discretize the blade deformation. The equations of motion are analyzed based on the small deformation theory for the blade and shaft torsional deformation to obtain the system natural frequencies for various system parameters.
종합병원 소아청소년과 내원 초등학생의 비만도와 관련 요인 분석

The present study was conducted to investigate dietary habits and biochemical indices according to the obesity index of elementary school students visiting a hospital for diagnosis. The subjects of this study were 150 elementary school students and their mothers. The overweight rates of child subjects were 37.5% for males and 40.9% for females, whereas the rates of underweight children were 35.0% for males and 14.5% for females. Children`s obesity index significantly decreased with an increase in the average monthly income of children`s families. Children`s obesity index, mothers` weights, BMI, and percent ideal body weight were all positively correlated. Blood biochemical values in children (hemoglobin, hematocrit, albumin, globulin, glucose, total cholesterol, and triglyceride levels) and their obesity index also showed positive correlation. For the underweight group, the frequency of iron-deficiency anemia was significantly high, whereas for the overweight group, the frequency of dyslipidemia was high. There was a significant increase in children`s obesity index and a decrease in frequency of regular exercise with time spent on the TV/computer. The normal weight group recorded the highest total scores for mothers` nutritional knowledge, whereas the overweight group recorded the lowest total scores. Therefore, to maintain healthy weight in children, nutritional education programs for mothers and children should be developed.
