This paper proposed the extraction method of reactor parameters in atmosphere plasma power supply. This methods is performed by detection of phase difference between inverter voltage and current, and extraction of impedance through active, reactive power. The validity of the proposed scheme is investigated through simulation results.

This paper proposes a control algorithm for the power supply to maintain the desired output voltage waveform when the instantaneous power failure occurs. The proposed system switches the control mode between the voltage-controlled and the current-controlled modes in the instantaneous power failure. The proposed control method has little steady-state error and good transient response. The validity of the proposed scheme is investigated through simulation and experimental results.

This paper presents a digital control solution which can extract the reactor parameters in atmosphere plasma power supply. The critical issue of the atmosphere plasma power supply is a impedance matching. For the impedance matching, the reactor parameters should be known, but the parameters depend on the reactors. Therefore, the reactor parameters have to measure for the impedance matching. The proposed method is performed by detection of phase difference between inverter voltage and current, and extraction of impedance through active, reactive power.

This paper deals with the combined active power filter system. The main purpose of a active filter is to compensate for current harmonics winch is produced by nonlinear load The proposed combined active filter system has two active filter configurations. The first one is a series active power filter which can compensate voltage harmonics and voltage unbalances. The other is a parallel active power filter which has the abilities of load current harmonics suppression, reactive power compensation and DC link voltage regulation. The simulation results are depicted in this paper to show the effect of this proposed system.

A protection scheme for Unified Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC) is presented and analyzed in this paper. The proposed UPQC has the series active power filter operated as a high impedance k(O) to the fundamentals when short-circuit faults occur in the power distribution system, and three control strategies are proposed in this paper. The first is the method by detecting the fundamental source current through the p-q theory, the second is the method by detecting the fundamental component of load current in Synchronous Reference Frame(SRF) and the third is the method by detecting the input voltage. When the short-circuit fault occur in the power distribution system, the proposed scheme protects the UPQC without additional protection circuits. The validity of proposed protection scheme is investigated through simulation results.
