The competition among global auto makers has become extremely high to meet the requirements to improve fuel economy as well as performance not to mention that the eco-friendly technology is essential. When it comes to power train technology, many cutting edge technologies have been applied to maximize engine performances. And intake manifold is one of key parts to influence the performance. This study will mainly review the development process and result of plastic intake manifold for gasoline 2.0L T-GDi engine. CAE simulation and experiments were implemented to evaluate design validity.
