        수종 (數種) 수질오염물질이 활성오니중의 (活性汚泥) 효소활성에 미치는 영향

        The activity of β-galactosidase and dehydrogenase present in activated sludges has been meausred in order to determine the effects of pollutants such as Pb, Zn, phenol and AOS on the enzymes. The activities of β-galactosidase and dehydrogenase in the activated sludge were 57.44 unit and 450 unit, respectively when they were measured in the absence of the pollutants. At the same concentration, Pb has shown higher inhibition for the two enzymes than Zn. The activities of β-galactosidase and dehydrogenase were decreased by 54.51% and 52.0%, respectively when they were measured in a solution containing 5 ppm of Pb. Among the pollutants tested, phenol has shown the highest inhibition for the enzymes and then Pb, Zn and AOS in a decreasing order. The degradation capacity of the activated sludge for a lactose solution has been significantly reduced when Zn was added to the solution. However, the lactose removal efficiency was determined to be about 50% after a thiole compound, cysteine was introduced to the solution at a concentration 4 times of Zn.

      • 식물 잎을 이용한 중금속 이온의 제거에 관한 연구

        In this research, I carried out the adsorption and removal test of Pb, Ni, Co and Cu ions using organic substances spread out any where in the nature which can be obtained easily from our neighbor-such as Paulownia coreana, Pinus densiflora, Juniperus chinesis, Quercus dentata, Magnolia kobus, Platanus occidentalis, Gingko biloba, Diospyros kaki leaves. As the result of the research to find the best optional condition for the adsorption and removal, shows that the adsorption and removal ratio of Pb ion by a Paulownia coreana raw leaves is 99% at 70℃, those of Ni ion and Co ion by Magnolia kobus formalin treatment leaves are 79% at 70℃, 97% at 40℃ respectively. And that of Cu ion by Platanus occidentalis treatment leaves is 97% at 50℃ in mixed solution. As the result of comparing the removal ratio by raw leaves and formalin treatment leaves, the removal ratio of treatment is 30~90% more effective than raw leaves in most cases. And I concluded Pb > Cu > Co > Ni ion in multiple solution and Co > Ni > Cu >Pb ion in single solution after testing adsorption and removal ratio of mixed solution separately as time goes by. In general, the reactions were completed within first 5 minutes. The test result of measuring the hydrolysable tannin content of each leaf shows that an overcup Quercus dentata is 11.36%, a Diospyros kaki is 10.81% and the rest of them are 2.49~4.12% in raw leaves cases. In treatment leaves cases, an overcup Quercus dentata is 3.23% and the others are less than 1%.

      • 河川水質汚染이 農業用水에 미치는 影響

        The water quality in Wonju stream, Seom river in Kangwon province and Bokha, Shindun stream in Kyeonggi province was investigated between the season of irrigation on July, 1990 and of non-irrigation on September in 1989. The results of water quality obtained from this study were as follows; As for water quality of the Wonju stream and the Seom river, the concentration of COD, T-N, SS and Cu, and for the Bokha, Shindun stream, the concentration of T-N, SS and Cu were exceeded standard levels of quality guideline of agricultural water use in the season of irrigation. However, in the water quality of Wonju and Bokha stream, the concentration of T-N, SS and Cu, and in the Seom river, the concentration of T-N, SS, Cu and Zn were exceeded standard levels of agricultural water quality in the season of non-irrigation. And the average water quality of the 4 streams were not suitable for agricultural water use. The comparison of the annual average water quality of the 4 streams for pH, DO, T -N and SS were in statistics significantly different with p values less than 0.01. When the average water quality between the season of irrigation and non-irrigation in each stream was compared, DO and COD in the Wonju stream, COD in the Seom river, pH, DO, T-N, SS and Cu in the Shindun stream showed a significant difference with p<0.01. The average in the sediment were; COD, 5.65~26.53 ppm; Cu, 0.26~0.49 ppm and Zn 0.95~2.97 ppm. The concentration of three contaminants were markedly higher than the water quality. And the concentration of COD, Zn in the sediment showed a significant difference with p<0.01, and Cu showed a considerably significant difference with p<0.05.

      • 쓰레기 매립지 침출수에 관한 연구

        Physical compositions of solid waste in Wonju, shopping area were investigated with combustibles 78.13% (papers 35.89%, foods 14.41% etc.) incombustibles 21.87% (glass and ceramics 11.02%, metals 6.0% etc.) in 1991, solid waste in apartment area were investigated with combustibles 84.27% (foods 34.29%, papers 22.58% etc.), incombustibles 15.73% (glass and ceramics 8.77%, metals 4.85% etc.) and residence area were characterised with combustibles 70.37% (foods 33.55%, papers 10.53% etc.) and incombustibles 29.63% (ash of briquet 17.29%, glass and ceramics 7.49% etc.). Water qualities of a leachate from municipal landfill of Wonju city were analysed pH 8.0~8.4, total suspended solid 102~140 mg/1, CN^(-) 0.003~0.008 mg/1, N0₂-N 0.108~0. 294mg/l and phenols 0.46~1.12 mg/1. Volume of the leachate for 20% methemoglobin formation were 0.2~0.4 mg/ml in Octever, 0.3~0.4 ml/ml in December sampling, 0.2~0.3 ml/ml in St. 1 and 0.4 ml/ml in St. 3.
