This paper presents the possibility of bio-diesel which has high viscosity and oxygenated fuel by gun-type burner. The experiments were carried out for the comparison of the spray characteristics of the kerosene, lard, and soybean fuel injected from the pressure swirl nozzle of gun-type burner. The spray images were acquired by the high speed camera and changes of injection pressures and blending rate. In the horizontality direction spray different from vertical direction spray, the flow of single spray in downstream was found. This flow was appeared by the generation of primary spray and secondary spray. The primary spray has an influence of initial spray condition and secondary spray was shown by correlation of primary spray and nearby air.
탄소복합재 브레이크 디스크의 통풍구 형상에 따른 유동특성에 관한 해석적 연구

In this study, the flow characteristics at the ventilation holes was analyzed by using numerical method when carbon composite brake disk was rotated at a constant speed. In order to ensure the validity of the analysis results, grid dependency test was performed by considering the accuracy and appropriateness, and 4mm mesh size was selected for decrease of the maximum error rate 63.6%. As a result, the outside air flows in the clearance between the disk and shaft in case of B model. whereas, the outside air flows in the clearance or the outlet of the ventilation holes in case of A and C models. And also average static pressure at the outlet was changed depending on shape of the ventilation holes and rotational speed of the disk in case of A and C models. Besides, in the B model, intake air according to the clearance goes with side surface of ventilation hole, and so increased by mean velocity of 4.64㎧ and mean pressure of 0.58pa in the ventilation hole outlet, in case of disk rotational speed of 146.21rad/s.

In this study, we investigated the spray characteristics of bio-diesel blended fuel. The experiments were performed mixing rates and injection pressures on the spray behavior. Bio-diesel blended fuel have different spray pattern due to the viscosity.

In this study, the experiments were carried out for the comparison of the flame shape of biodiesel as an alternative fuel from gun type burner using on the domestic oil burner. The burner nozzle is pressure swirl nozzle in this experiment. To compare the flame shape macroscopically, flow rate, particle size were measured with biodiesel-kerosene blending rate at 0.8MPa. The results showed that flow rate were increased and particle size were also increased with increasing the biodiesel-kerosene blending rate. When the ignition was tried, a part of blending rate could not be burned and white area of biodiesel flame were larger than kerosene flame on blending rate 5, 10%.
바이오 디젤 적용 압력식 스월노즐의 분무입경 특성 연구

This study provides the effect of biodiesel blending rate and injection pressure on the atomization of spray droplets from a pressure swirl nozzle used for biodiesel. Lard, beef, soybean and kerosene used in this experiment that has been performed to confirm the trend and laser diffraction spectroscope(LDS) was used for the measurement of the horizontal spray droplet diameters. The results showed that the SMD of primary, secondary spray were increased with increasing the biodiesel blending ratio but that were decreased with increasing the injection pressure.
