This experimental study was performed by the reflection object and the variation of injection pressure with the conventional injector and the ultrasonic fuel adding injector in order to improve the characteristics of the fuel injector for EFI type.<br/> The cause and effect of the characteristic improvement of the ultrasonic adding fuel was found out by the chemical structure analysis(NMR, IR) and the physical test(viscosity, distillation).<br/> The results are obtained as follows;<br/> 1. The SMD by the conventional injector and the ultrasonic fuel adding injector are much smaller as injection pressure increase. Also, the SMD and distribution of the particle by the ultrasonic fuel adding injector is better than those by the conventional injector.<br/> 2. The chemical property of fuel was changed by ultrasonic energy. Bl was increased, percent of aromatics volume was reduced by ultrasonic energy.<br/> 3. The physical characteristics(viscosity, distillation) of fuel were improved by ultrasonic energy; Viscosity was decreased, ultrasonic energy added fuel was improved cold starting & acceleration properties.<br/>

This study investigated engine performance and exhaust gas by comparing ultrasonic energy added gasoline fuel used ultrasonic energy fuel feeding system with the conventional gasoline fuel<br/> This results are obtained as follow<br/> 1. In engine performance, it was found that specific fuel consumption, brake power, and brake thermal efficiency was improved more 3.5%, 4.73%, 3.63% respectively in case of ultrasonic energy added gasoline fuel than in case of conventional gasoline fuel.<br/> 2. This experiment was undertaken to investigate spray characteristics of the conventional injection system and the ultrasonic energy added injection system.<br/> Sauter mean diameter was measured under the variation of injection pressure and the spray distance. To measure the droplet size, we used the Malvern system 2600C. The spray angle and mass distribution were analyzed to the CCD camera and the patternater.<br/> After experiment, it was found that the ultrasonic energy added injection system had smaller Sauter mean diameter of droplet, wider mass distribution and wider spray angle than the conventional injection system had.<br/>

This experiment was undertaken to investigate the spray characteristics of the conventional injection system and the ultrasonic energy added injection system. Test fuels were diesel fuel and mixed BC oil. The injection temperatures of mixed BC oil were the normal temperature(20˚C) and the high temperature(95 ± 2 ˚C). Sauter mean diameter was measured under the variation of th" spray distance. In this thest, injection pressure was 120kg/cm². To measure the droplet size. we used the Malvrn system 2600C. Droplet size distribution was analyzed from the result data of Malvern systern. After this experiment, we found that the condition of the ultrasonic energy added injection and high temperature injection had smaller Sauter mean diarmeter of droplet than that of the conventional <br/>

This experimental study was to investigate the characteristics of spray for an intermittent injection using 6 hole gasoline injector. 2-D patternator and Image processing system was utilized for the spray mass distribution and the visualization of spray. And the equivalent spray cone angle was estimated using the result of mass distribution<br/> Also, the measuring droplet size was carried out by using the Malvern system.<br/> Fuel injection duration was fixed with 2.5ms and The important experimental parameters were the injection pressure and the spray axis distance. The injection pressure was varied from 2kg/㎠ to 6kg/㎠ increments of 1kg/㎠, and the spray axis distance was varied from 60mm to 120 mm by increments of 2Omm.<br/>
