도로교통량 특성에 의한 국도기능의 분류 및 변화에 대한 연구

The functions of road has been changed by traffic volume characteristics, but there is no researches about the changes. The purposes of this study is to classify the national road’s functional characteristics, and understand the changing trends by clustering analysis. The cases of input data is 288, and the numbers of variable is 9 by traffic volume characteristics. The clustering analysis gives five clusters as like below. Cluster-1 has high truck proportion in traffic volume, Cluster-1 may be classified as industrial road. Cluster-2 has less AADT than other cluster, but has high K30-value, so it can be defined as rural arterial. Cluster-3 has little fluctuation in seasonal volume, and has low bus proportion. Cluster-3 can be classified as middle city arterial. Cluster-4 has more weekday traffic volume than weekend traffic volume unlikely other clusters, so this cluster can be defined as urban arterial or freeway accessing arterial. Cluster-5 has many traffic volumes with more weekend traffic volume than weekday. And Cluster-5 has large seasonal fluctuation, so we can define this kinds road as tourist road. The trends of changes on functional classification is Cluster-2 to Cluster-1,3 and Cluster-1,3 to Cluster-4,5. Cluster-4,5 has very stable in the cluster changes by traffic volume characteristics. When the government plans the road facility, finding out the main roll of the planning road, the government can grasps the road’s future functional roll in general. From this kinds of study, the government can make the plans more economically and efficiently.
