This paper presents the fabrication techniques of microcooling fins for microelectronics applications. The various types of cooling fins have been fabricated on the surface of a silicon wafer (4inch-N type) by using wet etching technique. The designed micro fins and micro channels are considered as an effective method for cooling microelectronics devices generating high heat flux. Further we extensively investigate the design processes fabricating micro fins and channels which can cool the heat generated from high density electronics devices.

잠수함이 저심도 조건에서 특수임무 수행시, 표면파도 및 조류등 외란의 영향하에서 요구심도 및 위치 유지를 위한 강인한 자동항법장치 설계는, 첨단 군용 잠수함 개발에 필수적이다. 본 연구는 잠수함 조종 운동역학계에 기초하여, 정확한 심도 및 피치 운동 제어를 위해 선형 행렬 부등식을 이용한 혼합 H₂/H<SUB>∞</SUB> 설계법을 사용, 다중 목적 함수로 표현된 잠수함의 조종 성능들을 개선하였다. 또한, 제어기 설계법의 타당성을 수치 시뮬레이션을 통하여 검증하였다. 결과적으로, 본 제어법은 각종 외란 및 계의 불확실성하에서 잠수정의 만족스러운 과도 상태 응답과 일정 심도 유지 및 피치 각도 변동 최소화에 적합한 강인한 방법임이 검증되었다.

In this paper, a 3 DOF(degree of freedom) linear model that includes the roll motion is developed to design a robust steering controller for lane following maneuvers using μ-synthesis. This linear perturbed system includes a set of parametric uncertainties in cornering stiffness and unmodelled dynamics in steering actuators. The state-space model with parametric uncertainties is represented in LFT(linear fractional transformation) form. Frequency-domain analyses and time-domain numerical simulations are carried out in order to evaluate control performance specifications of a given vehicle system. From the simulation results, the proposed μ controller achieves good performance over a wide range of uncertainty for the given maneuvers.

Two-phase pressure drop experiments were performed during flow boiling to deionized water in a microchannel having a hydraulic diameter of 500 ㎛. Tests were made in the ranges of heat fluxes from 100 to 400 ㎾/m2, vapor qualities from 0 to 0.2 and mass fluxes of 200, 400 and 600 ㎏/m2s. The frictional pressure drop during flow boiling is predicted by using two models; the homogeneous model that assumes equal phase velocity and the separate flow model that allows a slip velocity between two phases. From the experimental results, it is found that the two phase multiplier decreases with an increase in mass flux. Measured data of pressure drop are compared to a few available correlations proposed for macroscale and mini/microscale. Among the separated flow models, the correlation model suggested by Lee and Garimella predicted the frictional pressure drop within MAE of 47.2%, which is better than other correlations.

In this paper, an estimator design of underwater environment changes is proposed by using observer techniques for ROV control. The underwater environment changes is considered as an unknown input term for ROV model and it is added into the input term of ROV model. To estimate the environment changes, an unknown input PI observer which does not effected the unknown input term is proposed.
