        건물주변의 유동장 및 풍소음에 관한 수치해석적 연구

        As residential buildings in urban areas are getting higher, there are many complaints about wind-induced noise generated by strong wind. Residents from surrounding high-rise buildings have expressed their fear of being disturbed by wind-induced noise (wind-structure interaction noise). This has become one of environmental problem to be solved. However, there are many difficulties in applying experiments on wind-induced noise problems. Those problems mainly caused by the following factors: (1) difficulties to distinguish between the natural wind and wind-induced noise, and (2) model scale’’s problem for Strouhal number and Reynolds number. Nevertheless, the effort to study and reduce on the wind-induced noise around building is still rare in Korea or even in the world. Previous researches related with wind-induced noises were mostly focused on aviation and machinery field. In this study the flow-fields are obtained from Large Eddy Simulation (LES) Smagorinsky turbulence model, and the wind induced noise predictions are computed using SYSNOISE Rev5.6Beta. The results were compared with the experiment. The comparison between experiment results and numerical simulation results showed the very similar trends for peak SPL were exhibited in various cases. In this study, Computational Aeroacoustic is known as a very useful tool mean on wind-induced noise for buildings.

        “S”자 다리우스형 풍차의 블레이드개발에 관한 수치해석

        In this study, three-dimensional "S" shape blade Darrieus-type was originally designed by us considering with the aesthetic aspect. For this purpose, four kinds of the blade section model were divided to be analyzed using CFD to simulate flow-fields around the blade section with K-epsilon standard model. The numerical modeling of a fixed blade is set up in three-dimensional flow and pressure fields with the wind speed of 0〫 , 90〫 , 180〫〫 and 270〫 directions to investigated Torque and Power values. The overall efficiency comrison in the wind speed at 0° shown high percentages and the efficiency percentages of type A, B and C are higher than type D. 본 연구에서는 "S"자 다리우스 형 블레이드는 입체적 곡선의 형상으로 미적인면을 고려하여 독창적으로 고안 하였다. 실험용 모형제작을 위하여 4가지 단면 블레이드모형을 K-ɛ 표준 모델을 기초로 한 CFD 시뮬레이션을 통해 그 성능을 상대적으로 평가하였다. 수치해석은 풍향을 0〫 , 90〫 , 180〫〫 , 270〫 로 그 주위의 유동장과 압력장을 해석하였으며, 각 블레이드에 작용하는 Torque와 Power 값을 확인하였다. 블레이드의 효율은 전체적으로 풍향이 0°일 때 높게 나타났으며, Type D에 비해 Type A, B, C는 높은 것으로 나타났다.

        A Numerical Study on Travel Distances of Firebrands by Wind (Ⅰ) (Comparison on Wind Tunnel Test for Travelling of Man-made firebrands)

        In this study, CFD simulation is performed in order to assess about traveling distances of firebrands by wind. Burning embers, commonly called firebrands, are lofted by a fire’s buoyant plume and transported downwind to ignite new fires (spot fires) ahead of the main fire. In the present work, the influences of the inflow wind velocity, firebrand diameters, generating site, and initial generating velocity were investigated. A three-dimensional physics-based model is used to precompute the steady-state gas flow and thermal fields induced by a crown fire into which firebrands will be injected. Then the trajectories and burning rates of cylinder and disk shapes of firebrands lofted by the crown fire plume and transported downwind are calculated for various values of the inflow wind, particle sizes and fire intensity. The landing distances of the firebrand spatial distribution produced from the firebrand generator are presented by comparing in each set-up conditions. It shown that, the comparison between experiment and calculation are good agreement on traveling distances of firebrands.
