A passive type of fence security system based on electrostatic charge detection technique was developed and implemented in the field. The electrostatic charge detection technique is based on the triboelectric effect. The fixed long length of sensor cable is fastened on the various types of perimeter fences. A simple telecommunication shielded cable can be employed instead of the sensor element for sensing the generated minimal charges by the exterior intrusion. Electric charges are generated between cable conductors and shield when some forces and impacts are applied on the cable fastened fence. The guard alarm for perimeter fences is mean to generate alarm signals on the local deformation of the fence and the sensor fastened to it in unauthorized penetration by getting over the fence. The proposed system can be shown a reliable intrusion detection rate of up to 100% when we have kept and considered all installation and environmental conditions of the fence.
