This paper presents the establishment of an inspection system of gas supply facilites. This system composed of visual inspection, durability assessment, condition assessment and repair-strengthening modules. When the establishment of the system is completed, it is believed to be very useful for managers of gas supply facilities and technicians to perform safety inspections.

Carbonation of concrete is generally an ongoing chemical reaction between carbon dioxide(CO<sub>2</sub>) and some of the calcareous components of the cementitious matrix. Carbonation affects some important properties of the concrete, but the best known and probably also the most noticeable effects is the alkalinity or the decreased pH level of the pore solution. The decrease of the pH level depassivate the concrete steel reinforcement, which leads the corosion if oxygen and humidity conditions are adequate. In this paper, carbontion velocity with respect to structure environments, compressive strength and types of component is examined on concrete bridges. The results of analysis of carbonation velocity of the bridges under urban area, high strength, and substructures is higher than the other area, low strength, and superstructures, respectively.

This study was performed to develop necessary Visual Inspection System for the Hydraulic Structure"s precision safety diagnosis which to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of visual inspection by using mobile PC and adopted IT. This system was constructed to the automatic eye inspection map generating program, the visual inspection system using mobile PC and assessing the condition for structures.

콘크리트 구조물 내의 철근탐사는 구조물의 상태를 평가하는 중요한 단계중의 하나이다. 본 연구에서는 비파괴 철근탐사기 중 전자기유도법과 전자파레이터법의 측정 정밀도 제고를 위한 제반 실험을 수행하였다. 시험에 크기가 1,000 mm (길이)×300 mm (폭)이고 철근직경, 피복두께가 각기 다른 4개의 콘크리트 시험체를 이용하였다. 실험은 90일간의 공기중 건조 후와 3, 24, 48시간 및 28일간의 침수 후 실시되었다. 실험결과, 전자기유도법의 경우, 철근직경이 커짐에 따라 오차가 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며, 전자파레이더법의 경우에는 실제 피복두께에 맞는 비유전율에 따라 측정하여 깊은 심도의 경우에도 신뢰도가 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 수분함량이 3.6~5.5%로 증가함에 따라서 콘크리트 시험체의 비유전율도 증가하는 경향을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 수분함량이 비유저율을 결정하는 데 주요한 영향인자 중의 하나라는 것을 확인 할 수 있었으며, 수분함유량에 따른 유전상수 산출식을 도출, 제시하였다. Detecting rebars in side the concrete structures is one of the important steps in assessing condition of the structure. In order to determine the detection capability of locating rebars inside the concrete, two types of equipments, which use radar system and electromagnetic system each, were tested. Four concrete specimens which have the dimensions of 1,000 mm (length)×300 mm(width) with different thickness and diameter of steel bars were applied. A series of testing was achieved after drying in air for 90 days, immersed in water for 3, 24, 48 hour and 28 day. From the experimental outcome, it is shown that error is increased as the diameter of rebar enlarge in case of electromagnetic method. In case of radar method, the detection of embedded rebars in deep is good in the view of reliability. As moisture content increase from 3.6% to 5.5%, the relative permittivity of concrete test specimens show tendency to increase, too. Therefore, it is shown that moisture content is one of the major contributing factors to determine the relative permittivity. And the relative permittivity regression equation is suggested.

This study is to develop manual for diagnosis, repair, and strengthen of facilities such as bridge, tunnel, dam, buildings. In this study, we analyzed diagnosis report and maintenance literatures and drew up the frame and content of manual on the basis of inquired data. This manual consist of 4 chapters - condition change and repair and strengthen work and repair and strengthen example, and related organization link. Consequently, this manual will give convenience and development of maintenance work to user for maintenance of facilities.
