일본의 국제결혼에 관한 일고찰 : 여성의 이동을 중심으로

본 연구에서는 ‘이민의 여성화’의 한 요인으로 일본에서의 국제결혼 증가 배경을 검증 한다. 특히 결혼은 개인의 선택 혹은 의사로 결정된다는 생각이 지배적인 주류 사회에서도 제3의 요소가 개입하고 있다는 것을 지적한다. 본문에서 이민의 여성화와 국제결혼의 관련성을 논의하고, 일본의 국제결혼에 관련된 선행연구를 검토하며 분석틀을 제시한다. 또한 사례 연구로서 ‘엔터테이너’로 일본으로 건너온 여성이 일본인남성과 결혼한 배경에 대해, 스즈키(鈴木伸枝), 니시구치(西口里紗), 하라시마(原島博)의 의논을 중심으로 밝히려고 한다. 더불어 1985년 일본에서 처음으로 행정형 국제결혼이 진행된 야마가타현(山形縣) 아사히마쵸(朝日町) 사례에 주목하여, 농촌지역에서 국제결혼이 증가한 배경을 살펴본다. 결과를 요약하자면, 동아시아의 국제결혼은 외국인여성의 이동에 따른 국제결혼이 주류이고 또한 제 3 요소(행정, 민간알선회사 등)의 개입으로 인해 결혼은 더욱 상품화 된다. 즉 본국에서는 찾기 어려운 결혼상대자를 다른 나라에서 찾아, 그들을 ‘재생산노동’의 공급자로 보는 경향이 보인다. 결국 여성의 이동으로 인해 재생산노동의 수요(일본인남성)와 공급(외국인여성)의 ‘만남’이 이루어졌다고 볼 수 있다. This study examines the background of international marriage increase in Japan as a factor of 'feminization of immigration'. In particular, it points out that there is a third factor in the mainstream society where the idea that marriage is decided by an individual's choice or an intention dominant. First of all, this paper discusses the relationship between 'feminization of immigration' and international marriage, examines previous studies related to international marriage in Japan, and presents an analysis framework. It is based on statistics about the international marriage situation of Japan. Also, as a case study, a woman who came to Japan as an 'entertainer' tries to reveal the background of marriage to Japanese men, focusing on the discussion of Suzuki, Nishiguchi, and Harashima. In addition, it examines the background of the increase in international marriage in rural areas, focusing on the case of Asahi-machi in Yamagata Prefecture, where administrative international marriage was held for the first time in Japan in 1985. To summarize the results of this study, it can be concluded that international marriage in East Asia is the mainstream of international marriage due to the movement of foreign women. In addition, marriage becomes more commercialized due to the involvement of third factor (administrative and a private agent), and it tends to find marriage partners who are hard to find in their home countries in other countries and regard them as providers of "reproduction labor". Finally, it can be said that the 'meeting' of the demand(Japanese male) and supply (foreign women)of reproduction labor
