LASER welding is a suitable method to achieve two different goals: process efficiency and light weight. Various methods have been tried to manage these welding in process, most of seat makers in Korea are using LASER monitoring system (LWM) made by PRECITEC. In some processes, unnecessary management costs are paid for inaccurate causes. This study investigated the relationship between material contamination LWM measurement variables and weld strength. As a result, material contamination had no significant effect on weld strength, and the variables measure by LWM also not correlated with weld strength.
내구시험 전과 후의 Rattle Noise 및 영향인자들의 변화에 관한 연구

Recently the concern for a durable quality as well as initial quality has increased, especially rattle noise is one of the biggest issues in domestic automobile manufactures. In this study we reproduced aging of the manually operated vehicle seat rail through the durability test, measured and analyzed rattle noise and predicted major factors with 40 samples of the before and after durability test. Consequentially, x-axis free-play within a only certain range influenced the rattle noise, it was controlled by factors like other structural frictions between assembled parts.

Many companies that have technological catch-up strategies have standardized and quantified the information and know-how accumulated at the imitation phase. However, excessive regulation has a negative impact on qualitative growth. Initial operation sound is the start noise of the car’s power seat, and developers are highly skeptical about the regulation. This study investigated the management status, influence factors, measurement levels, improvement methods, and degree of awareness. In conclusion, soft starters and limit switches are the most effective way to improve initial operation sound. The survey showed that only 37% perceived the difference when 30 people heard product with 10㏈ difference in the initial operation sound.

Recently, the development and marketing of fatigue-reducing seats has been active, and this product is expected to provide better rest and comfort to passengers during autonomous driving and charging of electric vehicles. The core technology of the fatigue reduction seat is the proper positioning of the upper and lower body of the human body and the development of a mechanical device to implement it. Leg rests that support below the knees were generally applied only to the rear seats, but with the expansion of the fatigue-reducing seats, they are also being applied to the driver and front passenger seats. Domestic companies have secured leg rest mechanical design capabilities, but lack the ability to determine the motor capacity that operates them. In this study, structural changes in future car seats, development trends of fatigue-reducing seats and leg rests, and evaluation methods were investigated, and finally, a model was developed to predict the load amount of the 6-section link leg rest motor.

The purpose of this study is to find structural factors affects the rattle noise and to investigate the relationship of these findings in the car seat rail .We used each 30 per three variables, such as x-axis freeplay, y-axis characteristics and rattle noise, the moderating effect analysis was performed with this data to prove our hypothesis. Results, rattle noise was occurred due to impact between a lower rail and a locking device of rail when a vehicle was vibrating (x-axis freeplay), it has been found that side stiffness (y-axis characteristics) control the impact.

Free play is expected to be one of the causes for rattle noise in the vehicle seat industry. But quite a number of domestic seat company has not been established how to measure it exactly but also don`t understand a general concept of free play. In this study, we define experimental concept for the free play and discuss the case which measurement technology successfully obtained through searching, appling and reproducing advanced technology.
