귀농귀촌인의 지역사회 통합에 대한 근거이론적 접근-충청북도 괴산군을 중심으로-

인구감소로 문제를 겪는 농산촌 사회에 새로운 질서를 구축하기 위해서는 ‘귀농귀촌인의 지역사회 통합’에 주목할 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구는 귀농귀촌인의 정착 과정과 지역 사회자본의 상호성을 이론적으로 검토하고, 근거이론적 접근을 통해 귀농귀촌인의 지역사회 통합 과정을 이해하고자 하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, ‘지역 사회자본의 폐쇄성’, ‘지역 경제기반의 한계’는 농산촌 지역문제로 귀농귀촌인의 정착을 감소시킨다. 둘째, 지역 사회자본은 연결망을 통해 매개되어 귀농귀촌인의 정착을 돕는다. 셋째, 귀농귀촌인은 정착 과정에서 지역과 다양한 관계를 맺으며 지역사회 연결망을 확대한다. 넷째, 귀농귀촌인의 정착으로 축적된 지역사회자본은 지역문제를 감소시킨다. 이러한 연구 결과는 연결망을 통해 귀농귀촌인의 지역사회 통합을 지원할 수 있을 것이며, 특히 지역주민 공동체를 지원함으로써 지역 경제기반의 토대를 튼튼히 하고 지역 사회자본의 폐쇄성을 해소할 수 있을 것임을 시사한다. This study aims to understand the community integration process of rural migrants through a grounded theory approach. As a result of the study, First, ‘closeness of local social capital’ and ‘limitation of the local economic base’ can act as contextual conditions which restrains the settlement of rural migrants. Second, various social networks at the individual, community and institutional level in the local community leads to the accumulation of social capital in the region and helps the migrants to settle down better. Third, migrants form various relationships with the region during the settlement process and expand the social network. Fourth, social capital accumulated in this process also reduces local problems. The finding suggests that building social capital would support the integration of urban-to-rural migrants into the local community.
