New ECU’s of EMB/EWB system which can be used for ABS/ESC/EPB controller are proposed in this paper. The proposed ECU’s can be applied in the rear wheel control actuator of both HBS System and BbW System. The proposed drive ECU is a new electronic braking controller for the sake of vehicle stability using BLAC motor and the developed central ECU is a new electronic central braking controller of HBS System or BbW System. To show the results of the proposed ECU’s, various kinds of vehicle tests were accomplished. From this research, we have obtained core technologies to develop both the drive ECU of front/rear EMB system and the central ECU which can be applied to BBW system in advanced vehicles such as hybrid vehicles, fuel cell vehicles, and electrical vehicles.
