In the hot forging process, the forging faulty product due to strain and temperature should be controlled in order to obtain sound S/CAM forging products. The forging defects that are caused by metal were strain, temperate, and inclusion. But the control of forging defects has been based on the experience of the foundry engineers. In this research, the friction characteristic of heat treatment parts were investigated. The test was conducted in air and un-lubricated state using the Ball-on-disc friction experiment tester. The forging products specimen was suggested to be more advantageous heat treatment parts than non-heat treatment test specimen of S/CAM shaft. it is concluded that the heat treatment shaft parts has the most improved frictional performance and mechanical characteristic.

Die casting which is extensively known as a necessary technology for lightweight spare parts of automobiles has three central elements of casting equipment, casting technology and die and has had much attention as a technology with the highest coefficient of expansion with increased need of high-quality and high-precision. Therefore, a regulator of LPI automobile receives high internal pressure and works as a central part of the basic fuel supply system according to quality of performance. To produce high-quality casting goods, we need to identify causes of defects and theoretical analyses on physical phenomena occurring in manufacturing. As a result of comparing Types of casting design, it was found that the number of overflow affected flow, flow speed and solidification temperature.

The objective of the study is the development of the system for effective prediction of residual stresses using the backpropagation algorithm from the neural network.<br/> The achieve of this goal, the series experiment were carried out and measured the residual stresses using the sectional method. Using the experimental results, the optional control algorithms using a neural network should be developed in order to reduce the effect of the external disturbances on during GMA welding processes.<br/> Then the results obtained from this study showed that through comparison between the measured and calculated results, the neural network based on back propagation algorithm might be controlled weld quality. This system can not only help to understand the interaction between the process parameters and residual stress, but also, improve the quantity control for welded structures.
