철원지역에서 재배한 양마 (Kenaf, Hibiscus cannabinus L.)의 재식거리와 품종, 수확시기에 따른 건물수량 및 사료성분의 변화

본 연구는 양마 3품종을 재식거리, 품종 및 수확시기에 따른 건물수량과 사료성분의 변화를 검토하고자 강원도 철원지역에서 2005년 5월 20일부터 2005년 9월 12일까지 수행되었다. 시험배치는 3반복 분할구 배치로 주구는 재식거리와 수확시기를, 세구는 양마 3품종(Dowling, Everglade 및 Tainung)을 배치했으며, 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 생육일수에 따른 건물생산량은 93일까지는 재식거리가 10×10㎠ 구에서 높게 나타났다. 품종별 건물생산량에서는 모든 품종이 생육시기가 진행됨에 따라 건물수량이 높아지는 경향을 보였고, 특히 Dowling이 모든 수확시기에서 가장 높은 건물생산량을 보였다. 조단백질 함량은 생육일수가 길어짐에 따라 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 특히, 생육 중기(생육일수 84일)을 기준으로 생육초기에는 조단백질 함량은 큰 차이를 나타내지 않았지만, 10×20㎠ 구에서 다소 높게 나타났다. 품종별로는 Dowling의 조단백질 함량이 다소 높은 것으로 조사되었으나, 큰 차이는 나타내지 않았다. 재식거리 및 품종에 따른 NDF와 ADF 함량의 차이는 조사된 3 품종 공히 생육시기가 지나감에 따라 다소 증가하는 경향을 보였지만, 큰 유의적 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 보면, 양마는 우리나라 중북부 지방에서 훌륭한 사료작물로서의 가능성이 검증되었고, 특히 Dowling 품종이 재식거리 10×10㎠로 파종하여 104일째 수확했을 때 가장 좋은 건물생산량과 품질을 보여주었다. This study was conducted to evaluate the dry matter yield and forage quality of Kenaf in relation to planting density and growing days in Cheorwon area from 20 May to 12 September in 2005. The experiment was laid out in a split plot design with three replications. The main plots consisted of planting density and growing days with three cultivars of Kenaf as sub-plots; Dowling, Everglade and Tainung. The results obtained were summarized as follows. The dry matter yield increased until 92 days after planting at 10×10㎠ planting density, but decreased after the day. The dry matter yield increased with maturity in all three cultivars, especially Dowling showed the highest dry matter yield at each harvest time. The Crude Protein (CP) contents of all three cultivars decreased with maturity. Especially, the decrease in the CP contents was greater in the early stage than in the late stage. The planting density did not affect the CP contents, even though they are little higher in 10×20㎠ planting density. The higher CP contents were observed in Dowling, which is not significant. No difference in the Neutral detergent fiber (NDF) and Acid detergent fiber (ADF) contents was observed in the planting density and cultivar, although the increasing tendency was found with maturity. These results suggest that Kenaf can be a good potential forage crop in the northern area of Korea, especially Dowling showed the great dry matter yield and forage quality when harvested on Day 104 at 10×20㎠ planting density.
구조방정식 모형을 이용한 이탈리안 라이그라스 생산량에 대한 기후요인의 연구

우리나라 대표적인 동계 사료작물인 이탈리안 라이그라스(Italian Ryegrass: IRG)는 사초의 품질과 수량이 높은 반면 내한성이 낮아 중남부 지방에서 주로 재배되고 있다. 본 연구는 우리나라에서 수행된 IRG 연구 자료(n = 375)와 기상청의 기상자료를 이용하여 IRG 수량과 온도, 강수량 등의 기상 변수들과의 인과관계를 분석하였다. 다변량 정규성가정 하에 계절효과를 지닌 구조방정식모형을 고려하여 분석한 결과, 동계작물인 IRG의 수량은 이듬해 봄의 기온에 직접적인 영향을 받고, 이듬해 봄 강수는 다른 요인을 통하여 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 저온으로 월동에 문제가 있는 지역에서 IRG 를 이른 봄에 파종하여도 충분히 생산성이 있다는 것을 의미한다. 이번 연구를 통해서 IRG 수량에 대한 보다 구체적이고 종합적인 인과관계를 고찰하는 계기를 마련하였으며, 앞으로 다른 초종에 대해서도 다양한 구조방정식 모형 연구를 통하여 수량증대에 기여할 것으로 사료된다. Italian Ryegrass (IRG), which is known as high yielding and the highest quality winter annual forage crop, is grown in mid-south area in Korea. This study aims to analyze the cause-and-effect relationship between IRG yield and climate variables such as temperature and precipitation by using IRG data and climate data of Korea Weather Bureau. From path analysis of structural equation model under multivariate normality, we found that there was a weather effect on IRG yield that the winter grass IRG yield was directly affected by spring temperature and indirectly affected by spring rainfall. These results showed that IRG can be sown in early spring in the area where it is hard to prepare for winter due to low temperature. This paper can contribute to increase IRG yield by showing the cause-and-effect relationship and this study can be extended to various structural equation models for other crops.

As a part of establishing suitability classification for forage production, use of the national soil and climate database was attempted for Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum Lam., IRG) in Gangwon Province. The soil data base were from Heugtoram of the National Academy of Agricultural Science, and the climate data base were from the National Center for Agro-Meteorology, respectively. Soil physical properties including soil texture, drainage, slope available depth and surface rock contents, and soil chemical properties including soil acidity and salinity, organic matter content were selected as soil factors. The crieria and weighting factors of these elements were scored. Climate factors including average daily minimum temperature, average temperature from March to May, the number of days of which average temperature was higher than 5℃ from September to December, the number of days of precipitation and its amount from October to May of the following year were selected, and criteria and weighting factors were scored. The electronic maps were developed with these scores using the national data base of soil and climate. Based on soil scores, the area of Goseong, Sogcho, Gangreung, and Samcheog in east coastal region with gentle slope were classified as the possible and/or the proper area for IRG cultivation in Gangwon Province. The lands with gentle or moderate slope of Cheolwon, Yanggu, Chuncheon, Hweongseong, Pyungchang and Jeongsun in west side slope of Taebaeg mountains were classified as the possible and/or proper area as well. Based on climate score, the east coastal area of Goseong, Sogcho, Yangyang, Gangreung and Samcheog could be classified as the possible or proper area. Most area located on west side of the Taebaeg mountains were classified as not suitable for IRG production. In scattered area in Chuncheon and Weonju, where the scores exceeded 60, the IRG cultivation should be carefully managed for good production. For better application of electronic maps.
산지 방목 유제품의 Value Chain 활성화를 위한 조사 연구

This study was carried out to investigate the micro-agribusiness realities of dairy farms by surveying both farmers' opinions and consumers' recognition of dairy farm products for in a value-chain analysis. In most cases, dairy farms produced fermented milk for sales and to prepare cheese both for sales and for providing the necessary material for farm visitors. Value-chain analysis did not seem to be a viable strategy for dairy farmers, except when assessing the quality of farmstead milk products in comparisons of dairy farm milks and commercial milk products. Consumers had a wide range of experience with milk products and had no willingness to buy products from dairy farms because of the high cost and the lack of product diversity. Our findings established three strategies for improving the economic feasibility of dairy farms. First, the price should be reduced by adopting a production balance to establish a farm-gate price, i.e., not as quota milk but as surplus milk. Second, consumers should be educated on the prescription of cheese at home. Third, a value-chain based on cooperative partnerships should be established among dairy farms. In addition, to improve the consumers' satisfaction on the diversity and quality of farm dairy products, developments of new value-added milk products made from the milk of cows allowed to graze on mountain pastures are needed.
조사료 급여 수준이 Holstein 착유우의 산유 특성에 미치는 영향

본 실험은 조사료와 농후사료비율(조:농비)에 따라 low forage(LF)구 및 high forage(HF)구로 나누어 Holstein 착유소(초산) 10두를 각 5두씩 배치하여 실시하였다. LF구는 조:농비가 37:63로 BIRG 사일리지와 혼합건초를 포함한 조사료의 급여량을 줄인 반면 농후사료를 다량 급여하였다. HF구는 조:농비가 62:38로 농후사료 급여량을 줄인 반면 BIRG 사일리지와 혼합건초를 포함한 조사료를 다량 급여하였다. 평균 조사료섭취량은 LF구 7.1 및 HF구 13.0 kg으로 HF구에서, 평균 농후사료 섭취량은 LF구 12.3 및 HF구 7.9 kg으로 LF구에서 유의적으로 높았다(p<0.05). 총 사료 섭취량은 LF구 19.4 및 HF구 20.9 kg으로 HF구에서 높은 경향을 보였으나 유의적인 차이는 없었다(p>0.05). CP, TDN 및 NEL 섭취량은 두 처리구간에 유의적인 차이는 없었다(p>0.05). 실제 산유량은 LF구 26 및 HF구 23.9 kg/d 으로 처리 간에 유의적인 차이는 없었으나(p>0.05) LF구에서 높은 경향을 보였다. 4% FCM은 LF구 22.8 및 HF구 22.3 kg/d 으로 유의적인 차이는 없었다(p>0.05). HF구에서 유지방 함량은 높고 MUN 함량은 낮았다. 우유의 C14:0, C16:0 및 C16:1n7 함량은 HF구가 LF구 보다 유의적으로 높았으나(p<0.05), 그 외의 우유지방산은 두 처리구간에 차이는 없었다. 이상의 결과로부터 본 연구에서와 같이 급여 사료 중 BIRG 사일리지와 수입건초와 같은 조사료를 적절하게 배합하여 다량급여 하여도 착유소(초산우)에 필요한 영양소 충족이 가능하여 산유량의 감소가 없는 것으로 사료된다. This study was performed on two groups (10 cows) for primiparous Holstein lactating cows (av. 98 days in milk : DIM) which were divided into low forage diet (LF) and high forage diet (HF) groups based on forage : concentrate ratio (F : C ratio). The F : C ratios of LF and HF groups were 37:63 and 62:38, respectively. Concentrate intake was significantly higher in the LF group than the HF group whereas the HF group showed higher forage intake (12.9 kg) compared to the LF group (7.4 kg) (p<0.05). No significant difference was observed in total feed intake between the HF (20.9 kg) and LF (19.4 kg) group (p>0.05), but the HF group tended to be higher. CP, TDN and NEL intake showed no significant difference between the two groups (p>0.05). Though, there was no significant difference on actual milk between the two groups (26 vs. 23.9 kg/d, p>0.05), the LF group tended to be higher. 4% FCMs of LF and HF groups were 22.8 and 22.3 kg/d, respectively, and showed no significant difference (p>0.05). The HF group was higher in fat content and lower in MUN. C14:0, C16:0 and C16:1n7 of milk fatty acid were significantly higher in the HF group (p<0.05), but there were no differences in other milk fatty acids between the two groups. As a result, increasing high quality forage such as BIRG silage and hay in the diet will not only fulfill nutrient requirements but also reduce milk production.
