데이터 분석 방법에 대한 테크노스트레스가 사회과학분야 대학원생의 자기 효능감에 미치는 영향 연구 : 사회적 지지의 조절 효과를 중심으로

Objectives The purpose of this study was to find practical ways to create a stable research and academic environment for graduate students in social sciences in Korea. Accordingly, this research examined how sub-dimensions of technostress related to data analysis methods would impact self-efficacy among social science graduate students and how social support from both professors and fellow graduate students would moderate the relationship between technostress and self-efficacy. Methods In order to explore the main research question and multiple hypotheses, self-administrated surveys were conducted at 7 universities in Seoul. In total 160 surveys from graduate students were used for statistical analysis. Results As a result, among the five sub-dimensions of techno-stress(techno-overload, techno-invasion, techno-complexity, techno-insecurity, techno-uncertainty), techno-complexity lowered the self-efficacy of graduate students. When the university's technical support was controlled, the professor's social support did not have a moderating effect, but the coworker's social support had both a buffering effect and a reverse buffering effect. Conclusions The social support of fellow graduate students has a buffering effect on graduate students who feel weak techno-complexity about the data analysis method required for thesis. In other words, when the techno-complexity experienced by graduate students in the social science field was minimized, the social support of fellow graduate students was found to alleviate the negative influence. Based on the results of the analysis, the roles of graduate school(organizations), professors(supervisors), and fellow graduate students who can minimize the negative impact of technostress were discussed.
