Alternative carcinogenecity test on CB6F1-rasH2 transgenic mice(rasH2) were conducted. Both sexes of rasH2 and wild type mice were orally administered at the dose of 1.44, 5.75 and 23 mg / kg of sibutramine mesilate and 20 mg / kg of sibutramine hydrochloride for 26 week. Incidence rate of tumor per mice and number of tumor were very low and not significantly different between control and treatment group. It means that sibutramine mesilate and sibutramine hydrochloride has no carcinogenecity on rasH2 mice and this result predicted that 2-year carcinogenecity of sibutramine mesilate would be negative. Based on these results, rasH2 transgenic mice has useful model for alternative of 2-year carcinogenecity test.

N/A YHB6211, a newly developed recombinant human granulocyte colonystimulating factor, was administered at dose levels of 0, 3, 15, and 75 ㎍/㎏/day intravenously to the pregnant New Zealand White rabbits (20 rabbits per group) during the organogenetic period, days 6 to 18 of gestation. All dams were subjected to Caesarian section on day 28 of gestation and their fetuses were examined for external, visceral, and skeletal abnormalities. No abnormalities in clinical signs, body weight changes, gross findings, mortality, and external appearance were found in all dams and fetuses exposed to 0, 3, and 15 ㎍/㎏/day of YHB6211. However, in the group treated with 75 ㎍/㎏/day of YHB6211, maternal body and uterine weights, fetal body weights and length, and the number of live fetuses were significantly decreased and further fetal mortality was remarkably increased. It is suggested that YHB6211 may have no side effect up to the dose level of 15 ㎍/㎏/day, and there would be no teratogenicity for fetuses of rabbits up to 75 ㎍/㎏/day even if it may have some toxic effects over 75 ㎍/㎏/day for dams and fetuses of rabbits.

식이 조건(pellet, mixed pellet, egg yolk)을 달리하였을 때, 햄스터의 체중 증가량, 먹이 소비량 및 식이 효율 그리고 각 장기의 차이점을 비교하였다. 햄스터의 체중 증가량과 먹이 소비량의 비교는 ANOVA 검정과 Duncan이 다중비교검정에 기초를 두었고 식이 효율은 상관관계를 통하여 알아보았다. 혼합된 사료를 먹었을 때가 가장 많은 체중 증가량을 보였고 다음은 사료, 난황 순서로 증가하였다. 그리고 햄스터는 난황보다는 사료와 혼합 사료를 더 좋아하였으며, 난황만 먹인 경우 간조직에서 병적인 변화를 볼 수 있었다. The increase of weight, consumption rate of food, and histological structure of golden hamster were compared under different condition of feed(pellet, mixed pellet, and egg yolk). The comparison of increasing rate of weight and consumption rate of food was based on ANOVA test and Duncan's multiple range test. The golden hamsters fed on mixed pellet showed prominent growth but in the case of egg yolk showed poor growth. The golden hamsters preferred mixed pellet and pellet to egg yolk, and showed abnormal histological change on the liver and kidney tissue when only the egg yolk was fed.
