In modem days, automobiles are the most important means of transportation. With the development of automobiles, noises generated during operation has been recognized as a significant factor of performance to provide drivers with better driving environment along with other passengers. In this study, drone noise(pulsating noise), generated at the rear window when its opened, is predicted to understand the physics of its phenomenon at various velocities. The compressible Navier-stokes equation will be used with o order compact finite difference scheme to analyze the characteristics.

To resolve aerodynamic noise problem with complex three-dimensional geometry, measures must be taken to ease the complexity involved in numerical analysis. The flow field using moving-unstructured grid was interfaced to structured acoustic grid. To represent moving solid body, Brinkman coefficient is used to map solid into acoustic domain. Different values for permeability are used respectively to distinguish the solid and flow region. calculated simultaneously. The acoustic field is computed using the linearized compressible perturbed equations (LPCE) based on variable decompositions into incompressible and perturbed compressible component. The method used in this study can be applied to problems such as axial-flow fan noise and Blue-ray laser disc noise.
