Recently, artificial rocks, instead of buoys, have been placed on the submerged breakwater to indicate its location. The accurate estimation of wave forces on these rocks is deemed necessary for their stability design. Characteristics of the wave force, however, are expected to be very complicated because of the occurrence of breaking or post-breaking waves. In this regard, wave forces exerted on an artificial rock have been investigated in this paper. The maximum wave force has been found to strongly dependent on the location and shape of the artificial rock that is placed on the submerged breakwater. The plunging breaker occurs near the leading crown edge of a submerged breakwater, which causes impulsive breaking wave force on the rock. Using the Morison equation, with the velocity and acceleration at the front face of the artificial rock and varying water surface level, it is possible to estimate wave forces, even impulsive breaking wave forces, that are acting on the rock installed on a submerged breakwater. The vertical wave force is also found to depend, significantly, on the buoyant force.
Fly Ash를 사용한 수중불분리 콘크리트의 유동성에 관한 연구

This paper is to investigate the Fluidity of Antiwashout Underwater Concrete containing Fly Ash. The results of study are concluded as follows : the increase in Slump Flow value did not happen in the plain concrete which was replaced cement by Fly Ash ; however, the maximum value could reach in the replacement of 30% of Fly Ash by weight of cement in the Fly Ash replaced concrete. On the condition of Fly Ash-Antiwashout Underwater Concrete in expecting 50㎝ of the Slump Flow, it was necessary that the usage amount of Superplasticizer be around 1% of unit Binder, and 1.5% in 60㎝ of the Slump Flow, respectively.

Laboratory settling experiments (column, recirculating flume) were conducted for further understanding of the physical processes of cohesive sediment transport.<br/> In still water experiments, the growth rate of flocculation is dependent upon the initial suspended concentration. Consequently, the settling velocity increases with concentration of flocs. In flocculation settling regime, the exponent n in the settling velocity, ω<SUB>s</SUB>=k Cⁿ, for Nakdong estuary mud was obtained empirically. The exponents were found to be 1.33, and 1.06 for the initial suspended concentrations of 1 g/ℓ and 3 g/ℓ, respectively.<br/> In flowing water, experiments for the median settling velocity with Nakdong mud in a recirculating flume were conducted. Settling velocity was found to depend much more strongly on the current velocity than initial concentrations. The temporal variation of suspended concentration increases as current velocity decreases.
혼성방파제의 케이슨에 작용하는 비선형양압력분포에 관한 연구

Recently, numerical approaches for wave loads acting on the vertical caisson of composite breakwater, and resulting wave reflection and transmission coefficients have been performed. Although the numerical studies by Sulisz's(1997) and Kim et al.(2000) are suggested representatively, theoretical formulation for nonlinear wave pressure is not developed yet. And experimental results of Sulisz(1997) revealed that nonlinear uplift pressure on the caisson may be produced largely on the case of caisson founded on the high rubble mound. From the results of this study, the nonlinear theory for the uplift wave pressure acting on the caisson by applying boundary integral method of Green theorem is formulated, and also the characteristics of nonlinear uplift pressure and run-up height on the caisson are evaluated numerically, according to the variations of hydraulic properties of the rubble mound ..
금강하구둑 축조 전ㆍ후의 지형 및 흐름특성에 관한 연구

The estuary has a very complex coastline and bottom topography. Before the close of floodgate, the Keum river estuary was deposited with sediment from the Keum river, created bythe construction of the Keum river estuary dike. So, a periodical dredging is necessary to assure water depth for boat entry and departure to Kunsan port. Theof this study is to find the change of tidal current of M2tide and the topography before and after construction at the Geum River estuary dike. The change of water depth is investigated by digitizing the sea map (No.305) of Kunsan port, which was edited by National Oceanographic Research Institute. The calculated co-range and co-tidal charts of M2tide before the dike construction are similar to the observed ones. Therefore, the amplitude and phase after construction at Geum River estuary dike increases compared to before construction at Geum River estuary dike. The scour occurred in the A-A' section.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the variation of resonance that is possibly caused by construction of new port in a practical sea area between the existing port and the new one. The research of amplification that of the sea area was accomplished for the variation of resonance. In this study, long period wave that is observed continuously in the practical sea area was analyzed, and then secondary undulation was reproduced by numerical analysis. As a result of numerical analysis, the first mode of resonant periods in the existing port is 640sec. and in the new one is 500sec. On the other hand, we know there is long period wave of 500sec from analyzation of field datas. Because that period this period is the same with the resonant period in the new port. There is also the possibility of secondary undulation cause of reonant.
