Evolution of galaxies through galaxy-galaxy interactions

I review the dependence of galaxy properties on environmental parameters such as the local density, nearest neighbor distance and morphology. We find that a galaxy with an early- or late-type nearest companion within its virial radius tends to be an early or late type, respectively. The morphology of galaxies located in high density regions tends to be the same as that of the ones in low density regions if their luminosity and the nearest neighbor environment are the same. This strongly supports that galaxy morphology and luminosity evolution have been driven mainly by galaxy-galaxy interactions, and the background density affected morphology and luminosity only through the frequency of interactions.

We present a precision instrument amplifier (IA) designed for bio-potential acquisition. The proposed IA employs a capacitively coupled instrument amplifier (CCIA) structure to achieve a rail-to-rail input common-mode range and low gain error. A positive feedback loop is applied to boost the input impedance. Also, DC servo loop (DSL) with pseudo resistors is adopted to suppress electrode offset for bio-potential sensing. The proposed amplifier was designed in a $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS technology with 1.8V supply voltage. Simulation results show the integrated noise of $1.276{\mu}Vrms$ in a frequency range from 0.01 Hz to 1 KHz, 65dB SNR, 118dB CMRR, and $58M{\Omega}$ input impedance respectively. The total current of IA is $38{\mu}A$. It occupies $740{\mu}m$ by $1300{\mu}m$ including the passive on-chip low pass filter.

The National Foundation Day of Korea (개천절, 開天節) is currently celebrated on October 3 in Gregorian calendar. We review the history of dating the National Foundation Day of Korea and make a suggestion that it be celebrated on October 3 in the lunar calendar. We present numerous historical records on heaven-worship rites supporting the date October 3 in the lunar calendar. It is pointed out that October 3 in the solar calendar has been adopted in 1949 by the National Assembly with the thought that the lunar calendar is inferior and behind the times. The thought originates from misunderstanding on the value of the lunar calendar and from the ignorance of importance of history and tradition. Since there are now many national holidays that follow the lunar calendar, the logic of the National Assembly in 1949 also makes no sense. We emphasize that the lunar calendar should be followed for the National Foundation Day of Korea for its historical and symbolic characteristics restoration. We also investigate the year of the foundation of the first country of Korea, Dangun Joseon. It is found that even though the majority of the literature before late 15th century recorded the beginning year of Dangun Joseon dynasty to be equal to that of Liao Dynasty (堯), it was accidentally changed to the 25th year of Liao Dynasty in 1484 through a misinterpretation of the previous records. We claim that the beginning year of Dangun Joseon should be set to that of Liao Dynasty as recorded in the original literature in the earlier days. According to the two main opinions accepted by Korea, the beginning year of Liao Dynasty was 2357 B.C. or 2333 B.C., which correspond to the year of Gap-Jin (the 41st year of the sexagenary cycle) or Mu-Jin (the 4th year of the sexagenary cycle), respectively.

In this article, the early novels by Park Kyung-Li were reviewed. The early novels focused on the love, and the characters are put under the situation to choose either love or life. This plot forces the characters to choose either the life losing love or the love disconnecting from the world. The characters who chose love lose the previous uncompromising will confronting the world while the characters who chose the life declare adaptation to the hostile world and try to compromise. At the end of journey that they chose, the pessimistic view is formed that our life cannot but be bound to the transcendental power and principle beyond the human being, and therefore, we cannot life as we want. Nevertheless, Park Kyung-Li advocated the ought-to-be of life, which prepares the basis to compromise with the mundane world where the logic of life cannot but be in discord with the provision of nature and to live in the materialistic world. The love narratives by Park Kyung-Li showed mostly asymmetric path and it is the asymmetric pattern that the incompatibility between the love and the life is materialized formally. In the aspect that the asymmetric pattern of love, which is developed complexly, is settled down with two method of death and natural exhaustion of emotion, the characters who faced with the fateful love cannot ut respond passively. However, Park Kyung-Li demands the order and harmony to the love, which is the product of spirit of compromise that tries to cope with the fateful love irresistible with the will of human. For the characters of Park Kyung-Li, to love someone is to review the condition of life and the nature of life. If the early short stories emphasized the spirit of confrontation that confronted the unfair mundane world, the early novels distingshed with the spirit of compromise with the mundane world and of the reconciliation. which cannot be disparaged as adaptation since it is living together with the mundane world embracing it. The Land (Toji) is the result that such matured attitude shown in the early novels was deepened.

근대기 목조 지붕트러스 부재의 접합부에 관한 연구

This paper is aimed to clarify the joints of wooden roof truss members in modem age of Korea focused 19 architectural properties. These are largely classified with western king and queen post roof truss. the type and the combination of Principal rafter, tie beam, and King post by the joint. The joints of principal rafter and tie beam are respectively classified with three types by the existence of wall plate and pole plate. The joints of king post and tie beam are mortise and tenon joint, and classified with three types by the existence of splayed joint and method of jointing. The joints of principal rafter and strut are classified with two types by existence by hanging post. The joints of king post and principal rafter are classified with three types placement of ridgepole and rafter.

다문화가정 자녀의 스포츠 활동 참여 및 적응과정

The purpose of this study was to understand the multicultural family children’ sports activity participation and adjustment. To attain the purpose of this study, 9 informants in W city were selected as participants and the participant observation, in-depth interview, and related documents were executed. From the results of multicultural family’s children via Grounded theory paradigm presented by Strauss & Corbin(200l), 120 concepts and 20 subordinate categories were derived. The main findings of this study were as follows: The heart of matters in adjusting to the multicultural family’s children was ‘sports activity participation’s difficulty and distinction’, was various foreigner mother and their children’s poor korean language ability, difficulty of PE and sports activity, sportsless family, distinction from their classmate and society, confusion of personal identity. To solve the heart of matters-‘sports activity participation’s difficulty and distinction’, the informant were using school support, multicultural center’s support, religion support and personal deal. The last, the helpful condition in using these strategies and interactions were give up sports participation, resent about their parents and themselves, confidence and face up to the reality and explosion.

구조중심 협동학습을 적용한 체육수업 방안

본 연구는 체육교육에서 협동학습 및 구조중심 협동학습이 가지는 교육적 의미를 찾아보고 학교 현장에서 구조중심 협동학습을 체육과에 적용할 수 있도록 교수·학습안의 수립 절차와 예시를 제시하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 통해 구조중심 협동학습의 올바른 이해와 더불어 현장 적용을 좀 더 용이하게 할 수 있을 것으로 기대하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 협동학습 관련 전문자료, 체육과 협동학습 관련 선행연구논문, 2009 체육과 교육과정 총론 및 체육과 교육과정 등의 자료 수집과 분석이 이루어졌다. 또한 이를 토대로 교육과정 재구성과 교수·학습안 등의 체육 적용 방안을 제시하였다. 연구의 결론은 아래와 같다. 첫째, 협동학습은 운동기능과 체력, 사회성 함양, 수업태도, 창의성, 자기 효능감과 학업 성취도 등을 향상시키는데 기여한다. 둘째, 체육과 교육과정은 기본 역할과 방향, 추구하는 인간상, 목표, 교수·학습 방법에서 협동학습을 강조하고 있다. 셋째, 구조중심 협동학습을 적용한 체육과 선행연구는 교육적 효과는 제시하였지만 구체적이지 못하여 현장 적용에 한계가 있다. 넷째, 구조중심 협동학습을 적용한 교수·학습안은 단원재구성, 모둠세우기, 협동학습 게임 선정, 협동학습 구조 선정 등의 과정을 통해 마련할 수 있다. The purpose of this study was not only to find educational meanings of cooperative learning and structure-based cooperative learning in physical education, but also to suggest the procedure and example of teaching-learning plan to adapt structure-based cooperative learning to physical education in school. This will help understanding on structure-based cooperative learning correctly and adapting to physical education classes easily. To do these, data collection and analysis on the cooperative learning articles, the 2009 general guideline of the national curriculum and 2009 physical education curriculum were done. The results could be abstracted as follows. First, cooperative learning is effective way to increase motor skill, fitness, sociality, class participant attitude, creativity, self-efficiency and academic achievement in physical education. Second, cooperative learning is the main keyword to realize of the 2009 general guideline of nation curriculum and physical education curriculum by stressing cooperation in their basic direction and role, desirable human character, purpose, teaching-learning method. Third, structure-based cooperative learning has an educational meaning in physical education, but advanced researches have limits in applying their results to P.E class. Fourth, the teaching-learning plan can be made by unit reconstruction, group building-up, cooperative game and learning structure selection. lastly, it is necessary to do execution researches to find out the effects of the teaching and learning plan of this study in the future.

19세기 원당사찰의 대방건축에 나타난 근대적 성향에 관한 연구

'Dae-Bang building' is new structural style in Seoul and Kyongki province's royal buddhist temples in the 19 century of Cho-Sun. This study is to look into the modem inclination in 'Dae-Bang building' from the viewpoint of three parts; ideology&sociology, function, and the technique. As a result of this study, we could know the modernity in 'Bee-bang building' as follows. From a functional point of view, it has big functional changes and multiple functions such as preaching, mediation, dining, nunnery and introduce reception room and storage. From a technical point of view, we could look into the construction method of palace and pavilion in ㅓ, 工 type of 'Dae-Bang building', and the other modem characters such as simple bracket arms and lattice.
