Recently urban space requires beauty and comfort because of the urbanization phenomenon without distinction between day and night. In this regard, bridge nightscape has many advantages. However, despite of many positive things of bridge nightscape, the city of Seoul was carrying out a policy that lighting time was reduced or off for energy savings. In this study, for an alternative to this problem, the effective application of BrIPV(Bridge Integrated Photovoltaic) system has been proposed by analyzing azimuthal angle of BrIPV.

In this regard, the Han River bridge lighting has many advantages. However, despite many positives of bridge nightscape, the city of Seoul was carrying out a policy that lighting time was reduced due to energy saving issues. In this study, recently installed lighting on the Han River bridges were analyzed to find a more fundamental solution of PV installations applicability analysis for reducing lighting energy consumption.

A PV module is a device exchanging a solar shed by an electric energy. BIPV attaches PV modules to an external wall of architecture, and it is a system producing electricity. But as maintenance cost is charged very much if I apply outside it. The BIPV system that attached PV modules to Roller Shades are increasing recently. A important thing at this system is that it can get maximum energy saving and production when if PV modules adjust Roller shades. This study is before suitable Roller shade, basic study on energy production PV modules for adjustment. and this study used a formula of Erbs et al(1982).

Recently, BIPV system which is good enough for maintenance and functions with the shading system is being used. However BIPV system with the shading system is different from existing PV module because of using flexible PV module. Prior to the application of the BIPV system, the clearness index was calculated by Erbs et al.(1982) and analyzed for the amount of electric power generation of sky irradiance with measured data. To predict electric lighting energy savings in daylit space, electric lighting power savings with amount of PV module electric power generation was compared by using Relux 2010 software in this study.

PV(Photovoltaic) system is environmentally friendly power system using solar energy in renewable energy. PV system compared to other renewable energy power generation systems is relatively easy to install, so the dissemination is increasing worldwide. Especially, BIPV(Building Integrated Photovoltaic) is a system that PV modules are installed on the building and use renewable energy. But this system is difficult to apply due to the shadow of adjacent buildings and limited installation. In this study, payback period is calculated by Retscreen 2010, that is an economic assessment software of renewable energy, on applied to the bridge of PV system. As results, this study aims at actively considering the application.
