본 연구는 유치원 교사의 교사 효능감 수준을 분석하여 유아교육의 질적 향상을 위한 정책 수립의 기초 자료 제공을 목적으로 하고 있다. 이를 위해 전남 지역 공?사립 유치원 119개소 교사 185명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 t, F, Scheffe 검증 등을 실시하였다. 교사 효능감을 전체적인 교사 효능감, 일반적 교수 효능감, 개인적 교수 효능감으로 구분하여 측정한 결과 유치원 교사들의 전체적인 교사 효능감은 5점 기준으로 할 때 평균 3.76으로 전반적으로 높게 나타났으며, 일반적 교수 효능감은 평균 4.03, 개인적 교수 효능감은 평균 3.52로 나타났다. 유치원 교사의 전체적인 교사 효능감은 유치원의 설립 유형, 교사의 직위, 학력, 연령, 교직 경력 등에 따라 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 일반적인 교수 효능감은 유치원의 설립 유형, 연령, 교직 경력에서 유의미한 차이를 보였으며, 개인적 교수효능감은 설립 유형, 직위, 학력, 연령, 교직 경력에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 또한 교사효능감 관련 변인들은 유치원 교사의 일반적 교수 효능감과 개인적 교수 효능감과 상관관계가 있었다. The purpose of this study is to investigate the level of kindergarten teacher's efficacy. This will contribute to enhance the quality of early childhood education. In this study, 185 preschool teachers from 119 kindergartens located in Jeollanam-do were randomly selected. They answered the questionnaires(teaching efficacy belief instrument: scale for teacher's efficacy consisting of general teaching efficacy and personal teaching efficacy). The major results of this study are summarized as follows: First, teachers' average level of efficacy is with 3.76(of the total score 5). And the mean of general teaching efficacy is 4.03, the mean of personal teaching efficacy is 3.52. Second, with respect to general teaching efficacy, public or private kindergarten teacher, teacher's age are found to be important in teacher's efficacy. Third, with respect to personal teaching efficacy, public or private kindergarten teacher, the position in their kindergartens, their educational backgrounds, teacher's age, teaching experience are found to be important in teacher's efficacy. Fourth, the teacher's efficacy variables(Kindergarten variables and teacher's variables) are strong correlation between general teaching efficacy and personal teaching efficacy.
