유엔 아카이브와 한반도 냉전사·평화사의 모색 - 유엔 아카이브 소장 한국 관련 자료 소개와 해제를 중심으로

본고는 유엔 아카이브의 연혁, 이용 방법, 자료 분류 체계를 소개하고 유엔 아카이브 자료 중 한반도 냉전사·평화사 연구에 활용할 만한 자료들을 선별하여 소개한다. 1945년 이래 한반도는 유엔과 여러 측면에서 밀접한 관계를 맺었지만 이에 대한 역사 연구는 충분치 않았다. 이는 자료 접근 문제와 관련이 있는데, 유엔의 내부 자료를 보관하고 있는 유엔 아카이브의 자료 상황이 연구자들에게 제대로 알려지지 않았기 때문이다. 국가기록원이 유엔 아카이브 내 한국 관련 자료의 일부를 수집했지만, 자료 분류 방식의 혼란으로 연구자들의 이용이 쉽지 않다. 본고는 유엔 아카이브 내 한국 관련 자료의 체계 및 국 가 기록원의 유엔자료 소장 상황을 전반적으로 정리하고, 유엔 자료 중 일부를 소개하여 향후 냉전사·평화사 연구에의 활용 가능성을 모색해 보고자 한다. This article suggests the history, research guide, and record management system of the UN archive, and introduces specific sources that can be used for the study of Cold War and Peace History of the Korean Peninsula. Since 1945, the Korean Peninsula has had close relations with the United Nations in many aspects, but there has been insufficient historical research on this. This is related to the issue of data access, as researchers are not fully aware of the data situation in the United Nations archive, which holds diverse array of records from the United Nations. Although the National Archives of Korea(NAK) collected some of the records related to Korea from the UN archive, it is not easy for researchers to use it due to confusion in the record classification system. This paper aims to summarize the structure of Korean-related records in the UN archive and the overall situation of the UN records in NAK, and to explore the possibility of using some of them for future Cold War and peace history study.
