Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Type 2 (MEN2) is a rare hereditary complex disorder characterized by the presence of medullary thyroid carcinoma, pheochromocytoma, and other hyperplasias or neoplasias of different endocrine tissues within a single patient. Simultaneous occurrence of MEN2 and other cancers that are derived from different origins is rare. In this report, we present a patient with known MEN2 who developed breast cancer as a result of invasive ductal carcinoma. The patient underwent total thyroidectomy and unilateral adrenalectomy due to medullary thyroid cancer and pheochromocytoma. Although patients with MEN2 may demonstrate a variety of neoplastic disorders, it is difficult to identify a case report of MEN2 with breast cancer. In addition, no etiological relationships between breast cancer and MEN2 have been reported to date. Thus, here we report a case of known MEN2 with breast cancer and present a review of the literature. (Korean J Med 79:432-437, 2010)

Technologies related to the drone industry are developing rapidly around the world. It goes beyond the level of simply shooting an image, and is equipped with various sensors suitable for the role it performs. It is used to monitor and strike enemies, to be used in disaster situations, and to transport goods and monitor the environment, and its utilization is rapidly increasing. Drones used for various purposes are combined with flight sensors such as wireless receivers, flight controllers, and gyroscopes. And it is composed of various equipment such as Lotus telecommunication module, GPS receiver, and camera. If we broadly group these devices, we can classify the drone vehicle that actually moves in the air, the ‘wireless communication part’ that distributes information, controls and controls drone flying vehicles, stores and ‘ground control system’ that is analyzed information obtained from sensors. As the use of drones increases, various threats that interfere with the normal operation of drone components also increase. These threats sometimes pose not only a threat to the environment and individuals, but also a fatal threat to national security. In order to operate a drone stably, the confidentiality, integrity, and validity of the system constituting the drone and the data being distributed must be guaranteed. In addition, it is necessary to identify various threats of attackers attacking the drone system in advance and to remove the identified threats. To this end, various cyber threats that interfere with the normal operation of the drone system studied so far are systematically analyzed for each component of the drone, I would like to suggest a way to effectively eliminate the identified threats.
한국인 코인두암종의 조직병리학적 유형 및 EBV 출현율

Background and Objectives:Nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC) shows a distinct geographic and demo-graphic distribution with high incidences in Chinese and Southeast Asians. Current WHO classification divides NPC into nonkeratinizing carcinoma(NKC)(differentiated and undifferentiated subtypes), keratinizing squa-mous cell carcinoma(KSCC), and basaloid squamous cell carcinoma(BSCC). Relative frequency of histologic subtypes of NPC is known to vary according to the incidence of NPC. Korea is one of the low-incidence coun-tries according to the GLOBOCAN 2008 database by IARC. The aim of this study is to assess the histopatho-logic types and EBV status of NPC of Koreans. Materials and Methods:We reviewed and reclassified 168 cases of NPC(132 males and 36 females) diagnosed from January 1996 through July 2006. In situ hybridiza-tion for EBV-encoded early RNA(EBER) was performed on 146 cases and the results were compared among different histologic types, genders, and age and stage groups. Results:NKC, undifferentiated subtype(NKC-U) was identified in 106 cases(63.1%) and differentiated subtype(NKC-D) in 49 cases(29.2%). Remaining 13 cases(7.7%) were classified as KSCC. NKC and NKC-U were more common in females than in males. EBV prevalence was higher in NKC than in KSCC(NKC-U, 90% ;,NKC-D, 84.1% ; KSCC, 7.7%) and more com-mon in younger age(≤40) than older age(>40) group. Conclusion:Histologic type distribution and EBV prevalence of NPC in Korean patients corresponded to that of intermediate incidence area. Pathogenesis of na-sopharyngeal KSCC is assumed to be different from that of NKC.
Roof Panel Shield 공법을 이용한 철도지하횡단터널 굴착의 수치해석 연구

Recently, the crossing tunnel has been constructed to maintain the operation highway as well as railroad. The advantages of adopting RPS method in crossing tunnel construction are needed a little space and easy to change the direction of cutting shoe during the construction of pipe roof. The numerical analysis of RPS was performed for the application in the crossing tunnel under railroad. The earth pressure distribution and settlement were predicted when the RPS method was applied during the excavation for crossing tunnel construction.

There are many cross tunnelling methods such as NTR, TRCM, Messer Shield, Front Jacking, and Pipe Roof Method. The advantages of adopting RPS(Roof Panel Shield) method in crossing tunnel construction with comparing other existing cross tunnelling method are needed a little space and easy to change the direction of cutting shoe during the construction of pipe roof. The 3-dimensional numerical analysis of RPS was performed for the application in the crossing tunnel under railroad. The earth pressure distribution and settlement were predicted when the RPS method was applied during the excavation for crossing railroad tunnel construction.
