To improve the competitiveness of PolyPhthalAmide glass fiber reinforced composite in engineering resin applications, it needs dimensional stability, stiffness, strength and impact resistance. In this study, impact modified PolyPhthalAmide blends were prepared by compounding PolyPhthalAmide with EPDM and SEBS-g-MAH. High impact strength can be achieved from SEBS-g-MAH compounding group. We confirmed that properties using application for EWGA gear. From the results of mechanical and tribologycal properties of the blends, SEBS-g-MAH acted as an impact modifier to increase the impact strength of the PolyPhthalAmide glass fiber reinforced composite. While EPDM acted as a wear-resistant modifier to decrease the friction coefficient and wear loss of the PolyPhthalAmide glass fiber reinforced composite.
