Zero energy buildings apply energy efficiency measures and renewable energy systems to maintain a zero energy consumption balance over a specific time. Renewable energy systems installed in zero energy buildings produce energy to cover their energy demand, and the surplus energy can be transmitted to the grid. Conversely, the building can receive power from the grid when the energy consumption is greater than the energy production. However, the greater fluctuation of transmitted and received power in the transfer process results in lower grid stability. Therefore, for zero energy buildings, it is necessary to evaluate the load matching rate and power transmission between the building and the grid. However, in the case of zero-energy building certification in Korea, it is impossible to evaluate the load matching rate because it only considers the building’s annual energy consumption and production volume. This study investigated the energy balance of a zero energy building-certified case in terms of load matching and grid interaction evaluation indicators. Based on the results, the Load Cover Factors (LCF) analyzed at intervals of 10 minutes, 1 day, and one month were 0.421, 0.929, and 0.996, and, correspondingly, the Supply Cover Factors (SCF) were 0.228, 0.544, and 0.536 under the same analysis conditions. In addition, the variabilities of the amount of transmitted and received power were confirmed to be 0.203, 0.286, and 0.305, respectively.

Housing services are being improved through user-led urban regeneration through Living Lab in low-rise residential areas. The purpose of the study is to derive implications by analyzing cases in which the housing welfare part has improved through the operation of Living Lab in urban regeneration. For this study, first, theoretical research was conducted on Living Lab and smart urban regeneration, and second, the current status was analyzed through reports, news, and press releases. The target site was analyzed through a total of four cases of Gimhae-si, Jinju-si, Wonju-si, and Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, which were selected from 2017 to 2021, and found differences in participants, construction size, scope of application. Thr results were as follows : It summarized the improvement directions of Living Lab, such as 1) sufficient communication and business understanding for sustainability, 2) establishment of an operating system for support and cooperation, and 3) excessive technology-oriented development orientation.

Industrial facilities, which were considered a cut-off space in the city center, are changing their perceptions of industrial facilities and housing due to the change in the industrial paradigm. The purpose of this study was to confirm the need to form a city that becomes an independent entity in response to changes in industrial structure, analyze future housing coexisting with industrial facilities in the city center and present the planning direction. For this study, first, precedent research and current status of industrial facilities in Seoul and the metropolitan area were analyzed. Second, cases of apartment houses related to domestic and foreign urban industrial facilities were analyzed through articles, news, and press releases. Domestic cases after 18 years and overseas cases in London and Vancouver from 14 to 25 years were analyzed. Third, based on case analysis, the planning direction of future housing coexisting with urban industrial facilities was proposed, and the results were as follows. It is necessary 1) to improve the system and policy, 2) to expand residential-centered linkage, and 3) to establish a network with the region.
전자담배 폐기물의 재활용을 통한 효과적인 슈퍼커패시터용 전극 물질의 개발

In this study, active material for supercapacitor is synthesized employing electronic heated tobacco wastes. Compared with the conventional tobacco, heated tobacco left more wastes due to its heating rather burning. Herein, we introduce an effective method for recycling of heated tobacco wastes and developing supercapacitor active materials. In detail, the electronic heated tobacco waste (eHT-W) are carbonized under nitrogen atmosphere with various temperatures of 800, 850 and 950 ︒ C. Resulting eHT-W material carbonized at 850 ︒ C (eHT-W/850) exhibited the highest specific capacitance owing to the high carbon-to-oxygen ratio of 6.1 and the low ID/IG ratio of 1.36. To further enhance the capacitance, polypyrrole(PPy) is deposited onto eHT-W/850 material. (eHT-W/850@PPy) Finally, asymmetric supercapacitor device is assembled with eHT-W/850 and eHT-W/850@PPy as negative and positive electrodes. As-prepared asymmetric supercapacitor device successfully enlightned the red LED, indicating the remarkable specific capacitance and operating voltage of 2.0 V.
