The aerodynamic characteristics of the flying disk was investigated by considering the loading effect due to the attachment of a IoT module. Aerodynamic coefficients with the angle of attack were computed for a validation model and compared with experimental data and previous CFD results. The variation with module thickness was computed and analyzed. The results showed that as the thickness of the module increases, both lift and drag coefficients are increased. Bump-like module produces higher pressure distribution on the module surface and lower pressure in the inner front surface. As a result the pitching moment coefficient is largely varied with module thickness.
