Recently, development of vehicle is focused on weight and cost reduction with balanced NVH performance. However the engine mounting system is very important in durability performance because it should be reliable enough to support power train system with continuous force and vibration. Due to this reason, high strength material like iron casting and steel stamping have typically used for engine mount bracket. But in recent time, aluminum die-casting process has been applied on engine mount bracket to meet the requirement of weight and cost reduction and some car makers use even high strength composite material with plastic. This study will introduce a bracket development process with the aluminum high pressure diecasting what widely used in Europe at this time and propose how to design and validate aluminum alloy parts.
