        한국산 북방산개구리의 발생과정

        Comprehensive collecting survey were performed for study on ovipositioning habits and developmental process of Rana temporaria dybowskii from mid February 1998 to late May 1998 from Kyunggi-do, Kangwon-do and other areas in South Korea. Oviposition occurred in both running water and pool between late February and late May. In lotic habitat, they laid egg mass in irregularly ball shaped, and eggs were sticked to substrates such as stone or macrophhytes. On contrary, in the pool, they laid an oval shaped egg mass not sticked to any other substrates. Every egg was hatched at day 7, and all developmental processes were completed at days 71 after oviposition. Developmental process of this species was relatively short, and this may increase predation activities during abundant prey season.         한국산 참개구리와 금개구리의 식성에 관한 연구

        Comprehensive field survey and collecting were done for the study about feeding habits of Rana nigromaculata and Rana plancyi chosenica from May 1996 to June 1996 in South Korea. As results of analysis for food items of these two species, R. nigrmaculata mainly ate slow moving Coleoptera (Insecta) and R. plancyi chosenica mainly eats Diptera (Insecta) and Hymenoptera (Insecta) which have big flying ability. But these two species ate the same kinds of spiders which found near their habitats. And also they did not eat any kinds of aquatic insects. In the experiment of preference for two kinds of prey, Hyphanria cunea which has many setae and Gallcria mellonella which has no setae, R. nigromaculata much prefered G. mellonella to H. cunea. So we concluded that the external morphology have some effects on the feeding habits of predator.

        경상남도 소재 5개 늪지의 수서곤충군집 구조에 관한 연구

        This survey was performed at five wetlands in Gyungsang-Namdo in Dec., 1987. The previous survey was inverstigated by Yu at Jilnal swamp and Oisong swamp in Jun.-Sep., 1984, and by Yoon at Upo swamp, Junam reservoir and Sannam reservoir in Feb., 1987. Therefore this study was synthesized with these previous survey. As a result, the aquatic insects appeared at five wetlands are totally 59 Species, 49 Genera, 31 families in 7 Orders. These diverse fauna except Sannam reservoir are due to gently sloping edge, thick humus on bottom and stock of hydrophytes. Especially the fauna of Upo swamp are composed of 36 Species, 32 Genera, 22 Families in 7 Orders. Upo swamp shows the most diverse among five reservoirs. In Junam reservoir, the littoral zone is more narrow than Upo swamp, steep slope in edge and limited habitat on bottom. Sannam reservoir shows low appearence because of absence of waterplant, lack of humus on bottom and clear deep water. The similarity index show very low relation between Junam and 2 natural swamps at Haman compared with that of Upo swamp and 2 natural swamps. As a result, the protection and management of Junam reservoir as the habitat of migratory birds are pressing question. And natural swamps like Upo and 2 natural swamps at Haman should be protected from contaminant.
