Recently, the vehicle have made by high-torque and high-fuel efficiency. In order to meet the this target, engine and powertrain performance have large-output of power, otherwise, the parts for vehicle have down-sizing for fuel efficiency. To meet the two needs, clutch cover that is one of the manual transmission parts has to improve the frictional performance and reduce the its weight for fuel efficiency. In currently vehicle trend, the study is shown the direction to develop the parts for needs by customer and to develop the clutch at manual transmission. This study has investigated for improvement of frictional performance and reduction of the weight. Also, verification of this study through the making the clad metal clutch cover, rig test and vehicle test.
