Normally, the buck converter is used for the charging converter of photovoltaic generator because this converter has good characteristics compare with boost and buck-booster converter. But, in case of the sollar-cell voltage is lower than charging voltage, we cannot charge the sollar energy to the charger. So, in this paper, we proposed the novel hybrid converter using by combination of buck and boost converter for the charging converter of photovoltaic generator, as a results, it can operate buck, boost and buck-boost mode. The proposed novel converter has the same characteristics of the existent buck converter and furthermore it can operate as a boost converter. So, we can make the more effective photovoltaic charging system.

The development of deepwater oil and gas reserves constantly faces the challenge to reduce costs of all components and activities. With an increase in drilling operations in harsh environments, drilling riser requirements and limits have become more onerous due to uncertainties involved in response prediction and prolonged drilling programs. A high level of understanding is required of the response of the system to various conditions, and the design issues that govern the system. This paper presents an overview of the engineering challenges faced in designing drilling riser system for drill ship in water depths of 3,000m. Also, Static and dynamic analysis of drill riser system are carried out for the development of drill riser joint.

In mechanical components such as hydraulic cylinder, bearing and automation equipment, various types of elastomeric seals are widely used to protect leakage of lubricant or working fluid and to prevent ingression of foreign particles into the system. In this paper, a rectangular shaped reciprocating rubber seals is modeled to investigated the sealing and lubrication characteristics using a fluid-structure coupled software. For instance pressure difference, sliding speed and its direction, the hydrodynamic pressure distribution in the sealing surface, film shape, leakage flow rate between piston rod and seal are showed.
