Airbnb, a peer-to-peer rental platform, has been popular for its reasonable pricing, diverse selection, and strong presence throughout the world major locations. Because Airbnb’s properties are mostly owned by individuals, there is less evidence for providing stable information and building trust compared to established brand hotels for potential guests. To overcome this weakness, Airbnb properties strengthen communication between hosts and guests. This study conducts correlation analyses among the communication elements such as ratings, the number of reviews, response rate, response time, and the number of photos, and performance elements such as the number of bookings, ADR, and annual revenue. Utilizing Airbnb property data of the world’s top 10 cities provided by Airdna, this study provides interesting results. The number of reviews has a positive correlation with the number of bookings and annual revenue while overall rating does not have a strong correlation with those factors. The number of photos has a positive correlation with the number of bookings and annual revenue. And response time has a negative correlation with the number of reviews, the number of bookings, and annual revenue. All found from the analyses emphasize the importance of the effective use of communication elements for operating Airbnb properties.
행정 빅데이터와 GIS를 활용한 코로나19의 관광산업에 대한 경제적 파급효과연구

This study analyzed the changes in the trend of business entry before and after COVID-19 on the tourism special zones using administrative big data from the Ministry of Public Administration and Security in South Korea and GIS techniques. The difference-in-differences analysis and time series graphs revealed that while the general food service industry showed no significant change in new store market entries before and after COVID-19, commercial foodservice, domestic and international travel industries, and lodging industry have been continuously declining since the onset of COVID-19 in 2020 until 2023. On the other hand, the general travel industry and foreign tourist homestay businesses showed a rebound after the decline in 2020. This research differs from the literature by using 1 km grid-based detailed regional panel data and underutilized business licensing big data to identify the varied impacts of COVID-19 on market entries in different industries, providing useful insights for the formulation of industry-specific response policies in future public health disasters.

최근들어 security가 데이터 통신의 중요한 이슈로 떠오르고 여러 기관들의 망에 Firewall을 설치하여 보호하는 것은 점점 더 일반화 되고있다. Sun의 SKIP Firewall Traversal 방법은 Mobile IP가 Firewall이 설치된 환경에서도 제대로 동작할 수 있도록 고안된 것이다. 그러나 이 방법은 실제 적용에 있어 몇몇 문제점이 발견된다. 본 논문에서는 이 문제점들을 살펴보고 그것을 해결하는 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

Objectives: The purpose of the study was to examine the expected role and competency of future public health dental hygienist. Methods: This study was cross-sectional design. One dental hygienist per 16 cities and provinces was selected from the list of Korea Society of public dental hygienists. After signing in the informed consent, the interview was carried out. Transcripts were made after each interview. Six researchers recorded meaningful contents in the transcripts. They classified and integrated the information that they had recorded commonly or not. Their opinions were converged by conference. Two supervisors verified results whether they were derived from actual recordings for the reliability of the results. The records were confirmed once again and corrected into common message. Results: The main difficult subjects in public health official examination were public health, English, and medical legislation to pass the examine. The preliminary certificates included public health related certificate, computer certificate, and driver`s license. In the personality aspect, creativity, activeness, cooperation and good responsibility were very important trait to public health official. Among 16 interviews, 9 were positive and 5 were negative about the future prospects of a public dental hygienist. Conclusions: The future of public health dental hygienist will be positive. Throughout effort to prepare for the public health official, the public health dental hygienist will be expanded and in many ways the dental hygienists will take the charge of the important parts of the public health administration in the near future.
제품 표면에 사용되는 원형 홀 패턴디자인 방법에 대한 연구

제품에 대한 소비자의 니즈가 기능적 가치에서 감성적 가치로 변화함에 따라 기업들은 디자인 차별화의 수단으로 CMF를 적극 활용한다. 최근에는 그 방법으로써 제품 표면에 패턴을 입혀 디자인 변화와 감성적 품질 향상을 시도한다. 그런데 패턴 생성 과정은 단순 반복적인 작업으로 많은 시간이 소비되고 창의적인 결과물을 만들어내는 데에 어려움이 있다. 이러한 단점을 보완하고자 파라메트릭디자인 방법이 사용되기 시작했다. 본 연구는 제품 표면의 홀(Hole)로 사용될 수 있는 원형패턴의 디자인에 파라메트릭디자인 방법을 적용시킨 사례연구로서, 패턴의 속성을 기본단위와 반복단위로 구분하여 새롭게 정의한 후 이에 따라 원형패턴의 형성 규칙을 도출하고 이를 파라메트릭디자인 툴로 구현해 다양한 패턴을 디자인함으로써 구축된 알고리즘과 새로운 패턴디자인 방법의 효용성을 확인하였다. 본 연구에서 제안된 제품 표면의 홀패턴디자인 방법과 원형패턴 구현 알고리즘은 기존에 디자이너들이 패턴의 수정과 반복에 많은 시간을 소비했던 과정과 비교하여 기본단위의 형상과 파라미터의 변화에 집중하게 함으로써 창의적이고 다양한 패턴디자인의 결과를 도출하는데 도움이 될 것으로 생각한다. Companies are actively using CMF as a means of design differentiation. Recently, as a method of CMF, patterns are applied on the surface of products. However, the process of designers creating patterns needs much time due to repetitive work. To compensate for these shortcomings, the parametric design has begun to be utilized. This study is a case study in which the parametric design method is applied to the design process of a circular pattern that can be used as holes on the product surface. After defining the attribute of the pattern into a basic unit and a repeating unit, a circular pattern is defined accordingly. By deriving the formation rules and implementing them with a parametric design tool to design various patterns, the effectiveness of the established algorithm and new pattern design method was verified. The hole pattern design method and circular pattern algorithm proposed in this study could be helpful to draw more creative and diverse pattern results by focusing more on the change in the shape of the basic unit and the parameters forming the pattern as compared with the process which designers have spent a lot of time modifying the pattern.
리얼리티 여행프로그램 시청자의 지각된 유사성, 동일화 갈망 및 준사회적 상호작용이 관광태도에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 리얼리티 여행프로그램인 tvN 〈꽃보다 시리즈〉를 시청한 시청자들이 〈꽃보다 시리즈〉 출연자들에 대해 지각하는 유사성, 출연자들처럼 되고 싶어 하는 동일화 갈망, 그리고 출연자들과 마치 현실 세계의 친구 관계와 같은 친밀한 관계를 형성하는 것을 일컫는 준사회적 상호작용이 〈꽃보다 누나〉 출연자들이 방문한 관광 목적지에 대한 관광태도에 영향을 미치는지에 대해 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 〈꽃보다 누나〉를 시청한 240명의 시청자들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 조사 내용을 토대로 데이터분석을 진행하였다. 연구 결과, 〈꽃보다 시리즈〉 출연자들에 대한 지각된 유사성, 동일화 갈망 및 준사회적 상호작용 모두 관광태도에 양(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 지각된 유사성은 동일화 갈망과 준사회적 상호작용을 경유하여 관광태도에 미치는 간접효과가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 본 연구는 지각된 유사성, 동일화 갈망 및 준사회적 상호작용이 리얼리티 여행 프로그램의 시청자들의 관광태도에 실제적으로 주는 영향을 분석했다는데 의의가 있다. This study examined the impacts of perceived similarity, wishful identification, and para-social interaction on the tourism attitude influenced by a travel-reality show. Two hundred forty participants who watched the TV show completed questionnaires from October 4 to November 3 in 2016. To test the proposed hypotheses, the collected data was analyzed. The data analysis results revelaed that perceived similarity, wishful identification, and para-social interaction significantly influenced tourism attitude. In addition, wishful identification and para-social interaction mediated the relationship between perceived similarity and tourism attitude. The findings of this study suggests that a travel-reality program can inspire viewers to visit the portrayed destinations through perceived similarity, wishful identification, and para-social interaction, thereby leading to their positive tourism attitudes.

Chatbots, automated text-based conversational programs, are a popular technology enabled by artificial intelligence (AI). Chatbots have been adopted in diverse service areas to enhance business performance by facilitating interactions between humans and machines. This study tests the effect of chatbot gender, and the gender congruence between chatbot and customer, on customer responses in a banking context. Data was collected using a scenario-based online survey with a 2 (chatbot gender: male vs. female) x 2 (congruence of chatbot gender and respondent gender: congruent vs. incongruent) between-subject factorial design. Across two chatbot gender and respondent gender contexts, the results show that a male banking chatbot increases customer satisfaction and brand conceptual fluency significantly more than a female banking chatbot. Study results also show the interaction between chatbot gender and the congruence of chatbot gender and respondent gender influences perceived intimacy and information richness. Our findings are relevant to banks, fintech companies, and other businesses that are rapidly adopting chatbots to engage consumers and enhance branding.
