In this paper, the unsteady incompressible Navier-Stokes equation coupled with energy/radiation equations was solved in order to investigate the thermal stimulation of a laser heater using an ANSYS-FLUENT. The laser heater has been used to substitute a traditional moxibustion. The temperature profiles inside skin were examined when the infrared laser was emitted onto the skin. It has been shown that the maximum temperature exists just below skin surface since the absorption coefficient of skin is biggest in epidermis and that the temperature inside skin decreases as the monitored position goes to the depth of skin. The present numerical results are qualitatively in agreement with those of experiment.
