In industrial site, there are many significant risks such as gas leak, falling and collision. Moreover, It could lead to a big accident. According to official statistics, gas explosions are about 100 to 200 cases in a year. However, worker can’t react to them. In this paper, we suggest a system that notify dangerous situation in a field and send warning signal to workers.

A series of tests have been carried out to the evaluate effects of injection rate and timing on BSFC, NOx, and PM emissions in a direct injection diesel engine with TICS FIE system. Injection rate was altered at a fixed injection timing, which could be realized either by changing TICS setting timing or by using different cam profile. Injection timing was varied using TICS timing control function at a given setting timing. Two different cam profiles, which resulted notable change in injection pressure and rate, were tested in order to investigate their effects on the trade-off relationship between NOx-PM emissions. One-zone heat release calculation from measured cylinder pressure data was applied as an effort to understand combustioncharacteristics. Also, a parametric study of intial injection rate in in-line pump system was tried to correlate the injection rate variations with emission and combustion characteristics and to know how injection parameters can be well matched to a direct injection diesel engine.<br/>

This report consists of six cases with mitral valvular diseases who were operated on by open cardiac repairs under cardiopulmonary by-pass. The post operative results were excellent in four cases with normal exercise tolerance and fair or no symptomatic improvement noted in the remaining two cases, without operative mortality. As to the failure of symptomatic improvement following surgery in the latter two cases the main cause was considered as persistent tricuspid insufficiency which was not corrected even though the mitral valvular lesion was repaired successfully. Since the left atrial thrombosis is frequently associated with atrial fibrillation statistically in cases of mitral stenosis the closed method of mitral commissurotomy with pump stand-by is thought to be. desirable. In one case with the left atrial myxoma who brought some difficulty in the differential diagnosis of mitral stenosis or mitral insufficiency preoperatively the definite diagnosis could be made only by finger exploration an the table and the tumor was removed by open heart under cardiopulmonary bypass successfully with dramatic symptomatic improvement. We again impressed that whenever the signs and symptoms of mitral stenosis is bizarre and E.K.G. or cardiac catheterization findings are not well corelated with the clinical signs the possibility of diagnosis for left j atrial myxoma should always be ruled out.

Kwang-Yang container terminal is partially completed and in operation at present and it has been major subject to promote port activities and to improve competitiveness to the other container terminals. This paper aims to propose the strategies for strengthening the competitiveness of Kwang-Yang container terminal. For this, several factors are established as major resources which influence on the efficiencies and competitiveness, such as site evaluation, port marketing, cost, type of port management and related services. For the above factors, it is surveyed for Kwang-Yang terminal by questionnaires to personnels who are working in shipping industries and analyzed the results. The results can be acknowledged as follows; Firstly, Kwang-Yang port as container terminal site is evaluated good in itself but further development should be proceeded as per master plan. Secondly, the level of marketing activities is found relatively low and should be improved. Thirdly, the efforts to rationalize the cost in cargo operation are needed through the establishment and fine tuning of reasonable terminal operation system. Fourthly, the most of port users want the type of port management as private company but port activities should be harmonized with the character of public and economy. Thus port authority is recommended as the type of port management in Kwang-Yang terminal. Fifthly, for the improvement of general services related to port operation, modem cargo handling facilities should be applied and also effective document process such as C.I.Q., etc. should be established.
