Successive approximation type A/D converter has been designed based on microprogram techniques. The circuitry have been implemented with low cost D/A converter, D-latch and Mos EPROM. As an experimental result, A/D conversion time as high as 714 nanoseconds per bit could be achieved.

In this paper, a D.C. motor control system using phase lockedloop techn ique has been designed and implemented. An MC 4044 (digital integrated phase-frequency detector) which can control frequ ency and phase simultaneously is used to improve pull-in characteristics. As a result of the one-to-one correspondence between the phase detector output vs. phase error over wide fresuencies or phases rage, the loop capture range is shown to be limited only by maximum speed of the motor. And system performance is evaluated computer simulation.

In most cases of the analysis of analog modulated signals, phasor interpretation is required to calculate the frequency spectrum and therefore its bandwidth. In this paper, the comprehensive modulated signals including Monos and Compatible AM Stereos are analized to get the phasor diagram and therefore to locate the sidebands without mathematical complexity as much as possible. At first, a series of simple modulated signals are considered and then these results are applied to obtain phasors of other sophisticated modulation systems easily. Then the practical AM compatible stereo systems including the newly proposed one are introduced and simulated for their time domain operations on a digital computer.

In this paper, we designed the parallelly connected fuzzy-PID and lead-lag controller in the tracking loop of Electro-Optical Tracking System with rate integrating gyroscope. We simulated the time domain response and stabilization accuracy test in control system design software $quot;Matlab$quot;, and verified the proposed control strategy.

In this paper, we developed the simulation model for the induction motor using SIMULINK in MATLAB. The induction motor model is based on the voltage, current and flux linkage equations on the arbitrary reference frame. The constructed model is very user friendly and its parameters may be changed continuously. We also developed the simulation model for the indirect vector controller and the current regulated PWM(CRPWM) voltage source inverter(VSI).

A new HTF(Harmonic torque function) which takes into account the phasor of harmonic current, and which represents torque apple content of induction motor is proposed. Through experiments and computer simulations using direct quadrature two axis model, the proposed HTF is proved to be valid. Applying this function, six-step, SPWM and TPWM pulse-amplitude-controlled inverters are evaluated and compared with each other. A good control strategy for PAWM inverters was chosen from the results. It turns out that TPWM is superior to SPWM in torque ripple content and output voltage amplitude of fundamental wave and six-step is better than PWM when carrier ratio is 9.
FIR 디지틀 필터의 계수양자화효과와 Wordlength의 최적화

On FIR digital filter characteristics, roundoff and truncation effects of coefficient quantization are first analysed and then those equations are validated experimentally. When the product NB of tap number N, and bit number B is fixed, the optimal point (N, B) where the RMS amplitude deviation between ideal and quantized filter is minimum is found to be exist uniquely and obtained experimentally with digital computer simulation.

In this paper, a new PWM rectifier which offers a unity power factor is proposed. This circuit has the same inductance as the conventional PWM rectifier in powering mode, but it has less inductance in freewheeling mode. Because the time period of freewheeling mode is shorter than that of conventional PWM rectifier, a discontinuous input current is easily obtained. Therefore the rectifier accomplish as a unity power factor in wider range of duty ratio and boosting factor. We analyzed each mode of the proposed PWM rectifier, and proposed optimal design methods. We prove the advantages of the proposed PWM rectifier by comparing it with the conventional PWM rectifier through mathmatical analysis and simulation.
