Bumper system performance and its CAE correlation level are very important in early vehicle development stage. Especially in a high speed crash, the correlation method development is strongly required for the stable architecture development with CAE tool . And bumper system material is also critical for cost savings and mass reduction. Bumper system with high strength steel and CO2 weld has the strength of big cost saving with relatively low mass increase compared with Aluminum bumper system. This study focuses on the correlation method development with CO2 welded high strength steel bumper in early vehicle development stage with trolley CAE and the test.

Assembling modules are of great importance to vehicle assembling procedure. The bolts are widely used in assembling module procedure. Decide initial optimal value of clamping force with roles of bolt and external force of module. To generate initial optimal value of clamping force on assembling module is very important. To clamp between module and module by bolt, consider with clamping area characteristic and external force. In this procedure, residual clamping force is changed by reinforcement of bolt area. We recognize to study distinction between initial clamping force and residual clamping force by different reinforcement shape.

In this paper, we evaluate the effect of the Center Of Gravity by Small Overlap Frontal crashworthiness. The SOF by IIHS is a crash test of the newly announced in 2012. To determine the COG is very important work for the early stages of vehicle development. Because the COG affect dynamic stability and to change the COG is very difficult work. And we can know about COG affect the vehicle collision and impact on the safety of the passengers by this paper. According to characteristic of the vehicle, if we can distribute impact energy of vehicle effectively, vehicle can have better safety.

Max. power test of vehicles is generally conducted using engine dynamometers. However, the power test have become more complicated to perform on the engine dynamometers due to new emerging engine technologies and control systems. It is even more difficult to control all test parameters on the engine dynamometer, especially for hybrid vehicle, since more advanced and cutting edge technologies have been used compared to the convention vehicle using fossil fuel. Therefore. the possible usage of chassis dynamometer for the system power test of hybrid and conventional vehicles have been investigated in this study. It was shown that the results of system power of all vehicles tested were approximately ranging from 70 to 80 percent lower than the power measured on the engine dynamometer. The safety standards with regard to the power of hybrid vehicle will be established later based on the he results from this study.
