        The purpose of the study is to suggest the measure for the improvement of job satisfaction and level of empowerment of sanatoriums` social workers by analyzing factors of empowerments` effect on the job satisfaction, and investigating level of empowerment and job satisfaction of social workers of sanatoriums for the elderly and the handicapped. The result of investigation and analysis on subjects of 420 social workers of sanatoriums for the elderly and the handicapped in Youngnam area for this is as follows: First, job characteristic that is empowerments` influence factor of sanatoriums` social workers is appeared in order of feedback, and function variety, and in organization characteristic is appeared in order of leadership, reward, and employee development. Second, level of empowerment that is recognized by sanatoriums` social workers is appeared a little higher than normal level and significance is appeared highest, and next are capability, self-determination ability, and influence. Third, features that showed significant difference with significance in general characteristic of sanatoriums` social workers were ‘sex’, ‘marital status’, and ‘religion’, and features that showed significant difference with capability were sex, age, marital status, academic background, and employment history. And features that showed significant difference with self-determination ability were sex, age, marital status, and employment history, and features that showed significant difference with influence were sex, age, employment history and types of facilities. Fourth, the whole average of job satisfaction of sanatoriums` social workers was 3.82 out of 5, which is generally high, features that showed significant difference statistically were age, marital status, academic background, employment history, and types of facilities. Thus, job satisfaction was appeared as high as ‘more than age of thirty’ in age, ‘married’ in marital status, ‘under graduates of colleges’ in academic background, and ‘less than three years’ in employment history. Fifth, as for factors that had influence on job satisfaction, the indirect effect with empowerment was appeared that had significant effect in organization characteristic, and had few effect in organization features. On these results, practical measures to increase job satisfaction of sanatoriums` social workers are as follows: First, political approach is required to standardize duty system(by various types of facilities and clients` characteristic) of social workers of sanatoriums for elderly and the handicapped, and help to do the role as professionals with giving better treatment and building self-respect by enough reward. Second, to suggest chances to perform the responsibility for the duty of the scenes by the regular supervision, establish regular supervision system of social workers of sanatoriums for the elderly and the handicapped, and the extension of duty to increase the functional varieties. Third, it is required to motivate to have self confidence for the work and to use potential ability with transforming leadership, and to have more chances of education for the self-development. To increase job satisfaction of sanatoriums` social workers who give direct services in sanatoriums for the elderly and the handicapped, more active and positive empowerment`s level improvement is in need by improvement of empowerment for them.

      • 여성노인들의 생활만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구

        Senior citizens`` satisfaction level towards their every day lifecan become an important index for identifying the level of senior citizens`` welfare that is realized. Accordingly, it is most important to disclose the elements that affect senior citizens`` satisfaction level towards their every day life. To this, this research conducted research on the elements that affect senior citizens`` satisfaction level towards their every day life including health related behaviors, self respect, level of aging, depression related elements and the ability to engage in every day life movements. To identify the differences and the elements that influence, senior citizens over the age of 60 and who reside in Daegu were studied from April 6, 2006 to May 6, 2006 to collect necessary data. As for the data collection, the volunteers who were guided by the researcher in advance read the questions to the research targets during face to face interview to help the targets to understand the contents. Then, the answers by the targets were entered into the survey questionnaire. Total of 552 (response rate: 96.7%) were used for analyze from the total of 540 survey questionnaires that were gathered after excluding those with no answers and errors. Collected data were analyzed in line with the purpose f the analysis to study the relationship between research targets`` general characteristics, elements pertaining to the level of aging, self respect, satisfaction level towards their every day life, degree of depression and ability to lead every day life. The following results were obtained as a result. 1. When the difference in the level of physical aging following the general characteristicsis examined, there was difference depending on the age, marital status, education level, economic status, form of co-habitation and health state. Awareness on the overall physical aging was 2.94 points. As for the difference in the difference in the level of psychological aging following general characteristics, they were marital status, education level, economic status, form of co-habitation and health state. Awareness on the overall psychological aging was 2.96 points. Age, marital status, education level, economic status, form of co-habitation and, health state were significant for the difference in the level of societal aging and the awareness on the overall societal aging was 2.74 points. 2. As for the difference in the self respect following general characteristics, age, marital status, education level, economic status, form of co-habitation and health state were significant, and the overall score was 3.04 points, which indicates that the self respect is significantly high. 3. As for the degree of depression following general characteristics, there was difference following the marital status, education level, economic status, form of co-habitation and health state. Overall, degree of depression ~vas high with score of 3.22 points. 4. As for the difference will the ability to lead every day life following general characteristics, the elements were age, marital status, education level, economic status, form of co-habitation and health state. Overall, satisfaction on the every day life was high with score of 3.05 points. 5. As for the difference in the satisfaction level towards their every day life following general characteristics, there was a difference in all categories including age, marital status, education level, religion, economic status, form of co-habitation and health state. Overall, satisfaction level towards their every day life was very high with 3.44 points. 6. When the regression analysis was conducted with the satisfaction level towards their every day life set as the dependent variable and with the variables that affect set as independent variables, satisfaction level towards their every day life was higher when the education level is high, when they have a religion, when they are healthy, when the societal aging is lower and when the self respect is higher.

      • 장애인시설 재활교사의 조직몰입이 서비스의 질에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of the study is for improvement of quality of service by organizational immersion of life rehabilitation teacher that is important medium of provision service in living faculties for the disabled, to investigate effect factors of organizational immersion of positive effect on quality of service and level of organizational immersion of life rehabilitation teacher of living faculties for the disabled, and to suggest concrete measures for improvement of quality of service by organizational immersion of life rehabilitation teacher of living faculties for the disabled that is important medium of provision service in living faculties for the disabled. After considering the results of investigation and analysis on subjects of 400 life rehabilitation teachers of living faculties for the disabled, conclusions are as follows: First, after examination individual characteristic, organizational structural feature, and variable of organizational managerial feature, which are the effect factors of organizational immersion of life rehabilitation teacher of living faculties for the disabled by mean and standard deviation in descriptive statistics, organizational managerial feature was appeared most high as effect factor of organizational immersion, and organization structural feature was appeared to have almost similar effect on individual characteristic. Considering this result, organizational managerial feature was recognized more importantly in relation to effect factor of organizational immersion of subject life rehabilitation teachers. Second, in the relation among general feature, individual characteristic, organizational structural feature, and variable of organizational managerial feature, the factor that showed significant difference with individual characteristic by general feature was ‘marital status`. And features that showed significant difference with organizational structural feature by general feature were appeared in order of sex, age, religion, and employment history. Also, features that showed significant difference with organizational managerial feature were appeared in order of age, academic ground, religion, and employment history. Third, level of organizational immersion of life rehabilitation teacher of living faculties for the disabled was appeared more than average, and features that showed significant difference with factors of organizational immersion were appeared in order of age, religion, and employment history. And cognition level of quality of service by general feature of life rehabilitation teacher of living faculties for the disabled was appeared average, and no feature that showed significant difference with quality of service was appeared. Fourth, associate variable in descriptive statistics and verification normality in the correlation between effect factors of organizational immersion, organizational immersion, and quality of service, degree of organizational immersion was the highest in verification normality of associate variable of life rehabilitation teacher, and factors that have direct effect on quality of service were individual characteristic and organizational managerial feature. But organizational structural feature had no significant meaning. with this study, by practice various measure to increase the differentiated organizational immersion by area as for measure to increase quality of service of living faculties for the disabled by the organizational immersion of life rehabilitation teacher of living faculties for the disabled, more efficiency will be sought to improve quality of service of life rehabilitation teacher of living faculties for the disabled.
