Steps are very common features in our living environment. Unfortunately, the occurrence of accidents on steps is thus inevitable. A failed visibility to recognize a step remains the most common attribute in these accidents. In this research, sensory scales of step visibility were created in order to examine the effects of two factors on step visibility in sensory testing methods; observation height from floor and eye condition while viewing a step from the descending direction. Results of sensory tests revealed strong influence of eye condition on step visibility. Influence of visual characteristics of each step was also examined and clarified.
고강도 고유동 콘크리트를 이용한 콘크리트충전강관(CFT)구조의 충전성에 관한 공법 연구

In this study, there are kind of property experiments like fluidity, compressive strength, bleeding measurement, concrete sink for CFT use high fluidity concrete. The property difference between before transmit and after transmit concrete in the mock up test with ready mixed concrete equipment is examined. The variable factors in mock up are diaphragm existence and nonexistence, diaphragm placing hole sizes. To investing the concrete Property under diaphragm, concrete packing ability, hydration heat, core specimen strength tests are performed.
순환유동층 보일러애시를 활용한 비소성 결합재 기초 특성

Recently, there has been a growing interest in the development of non-sintered binder to reduce CO2 emissions from the cement clinker manufacturing process and a number of studies have been conducted on fly ashes as an industrial by-product. However, in order to utilize fly ashes as a non-sintered binder, it is necessary to solve problems such as safety issues and economical efficiency due to use of an alkali activator. This study evaluates the material properties and compressive strength characteristics of three types of circulating fluidized bed boiler ashes. As a result, it was confirmed that the characteristics of each binder vary depending on the location of the power plant and the types of raw materials. In addition, it has been confirmed that the fluidized bed boiler ash shows a high compressive strength and can be used sufficiently as an non-sintered binder.

CFT(Concrete Filled steel Tube) is a structure of circular or squared of steel column filled with concrete. The steel tube holds the concrete inside and that makes this structure to perform superior features on stiffness, proof stress, transformation, fire resistance and also on construction itself. In this study, research has been done on the basic property of matter such as fluidity, resistance on segregation, compressive strength, setting icons of the concrete filled in the steel tube under conditions of cold and hot weather. This was compared to the data started in the index of planning and construction of steel tube structure, and mock up test has been done under air curing and adiabatic curing condition. In this study, hydration heat variations while the concrete hardening, core samples were extracted to analysis compressive strength and unit weight. With the results from the tests, it is possible to conclude that adiabatic cured mock up show better proof stress condition under cold weather condition, and air cured mock up show better proof stress condition under hot weather condition. In order to have a satisfactory quality control, special curing management according to the weather conditions is required. Especially when using the method of tremie, special care is needed on the decreasing proof stress of the concrete between two diaphragms.

Recently, interest in making nanocomposite materials for construction utilizing the excellent physical properties of nano materials is increasing. In this study, basic properties of mortar were evaluated by the dispersion condition of cellulose nano-crystals (CNCs) extracted from nanocellulose and the feasibility of the study was examined. As a result, it was confirmed that the flexural strength and the compressive strength were increased by increasing the dispersion time of the CNCs and by using the ultrasonic dispersing device and the magnetic stirrer together.
