Heterotopic ossification and calcification has been discovered and described in particulary every tissues of the body except in the sphincters and other smooth muscles. The cause and mechanism of heterotopic ossification is obscure. We have recently encountered one case of multiple periarticular, capsular and intramuscular ossification occurring in the CO-poisoning with loss of consciousness for about 3 weeks.

It has been widely known that Culex tritaeniorhynchus is the main vector of Hapanese encephalitis in Korea but little study was done on the time of early appearance of C. tritaeniorhynchus in Seoul which locate in northern part of South Korea. The investigator collected and studied time of early appearance of C. tritaeniorhynchus in suburban areas of Seoul City from 1965 for 11 years. 1. C. tritaeniorhynchus does not appear before June 15 and earliest time of appearance was Jun 16 in 1966 and 1967. The vector of disease appeared on mid0June in 1965 and 1970. 2. The population of vector mosquitoe of Japanese encephalitis decreased tremendously after 1970 in Seoul area. 3. Number of hospitalized Japanese encephalitis patient was over 1,000 before 1968 but thereafter number of the patients were decreased rapidly and there were only less than 100 patients in recent years.
Formation of TiB2-SiC Ceramics from TiB2-Polycarbosilane Mixtures

The formation of TiB2-SiC ceramics from TiB2-polycarbosilane (PCS) mixtures was investigated. The powder mixture of TiB2 with PCS was pressed at 300 o C with 200MPa and sintered at 1700~2000 o C for 1 h in a flowing Ar atmosphere. The sintered density of TiB2 with PCS is 93.7% after sintering at 2000 o C for 1 h, which is slightly smaller than that of the specimen without PCS. The microstructure of TiB2 with PCS consists of small and uniform TiB2 particles with well dispersed SiC particles derived from PCS. 단일 국소방사선 조사 후 백서 대뇌 피질의 초급성기 변화에 대한 연구

Objective: We investigated the morphologic changes within 24 hours after a single ${\gamma}$-irradiation in the rat brain. Methods: Forty Sprague-Dawley rats were used. After a burr hole trephination on right parietal area, cerebral hemisphere was irradiated with 2Gy and 5Gy using iridium-192($^{192}Ir$), respectively. The effect was assessed at 4, 8, 12 and 24 hours after irradiation. The histological changes were scored following the detection of edema or disarray severity. TUNEL-positive cells exhibiting apoptotic morphology were counted in irradiated region. Results: Cortical edema and disarray were initially showed at 4 or 8 hour and almost all defined at 24 hour after irradiation. And the injury was wedge shape. TUNEL-positive cells were minimal at 8 hour after irradiation as the number of positive cells were $2.6{\pm}5.27$(n=5) after 2Gy, and $0.8{\pm}0.84$(n=5) after 5Gy. But, the number of apoptotic cells were increased markedly to $60{\pm}6.24$ at 12 hour after 2Gy and to $104{\pm}19.7$ at 24 hour after 5Gy. Conclusion: There were prominent morphologic changes immediately after ${\gamma}$-irradiation. And, apoptosis was increased according to the time period. These findings implicate that brain irradiation induces rapid apoptotic change, which may play an important role in the pathogenesis of radiation-induced pathologic conditions.

In this paper, we propose a protocol conversion method to integrate the ECG signal storage methods used in the health care field. Since OPEN-ECG, which is the ECG storage protocol mainly used in clinical practice, and MFER protocol, which is used to store general medical waveforms, have different storage methods, a mapping structure for conversion should be configured for integrated management. OPEN-ECG divides the electrocardiogram signal into sections and displays ECG information. It contains basic waveform information as well as information for ECG analysis and additional measurement information. MFER has a tag-based storage structure for storing basic waveform information. We construct a mapping structure between the OPEN-ECG section information and the MFER tag to indicate OPEN-ECG with section structure as MFER with tag structure. We show that the result of protocol conversion can be integrated management. 본 논문에서는 헬스케어분야에서 사용되고 있는 심전도 신호의 저장 방식들을 통합적으로 관리하기 위해 프로토콜간의 변환방법을 제시한다. 임상에서 주로 사용하고 있는 심전도 저장 프로토콜인 OPEN-ECG와 일반적인 의료파형을 저장하기 위해 만들어진 MFER 프로토콜은 저장 방법이 다르기 때문에 통합적 관리를 위해서는 변환을 위한 맵핑구조를 구성해야 한다. OPEN-ECG는 심전도신호를 섹션별로 구분하여 정보를 표현하고 있으며, 기본적인 파형정보뿐 아니라, 심전도 분석을 위한 정보와 부가적인 측정정보를 포함하고 있다. MFER은 기본적인 파형정보를 저장하기 위한 테그중심의 저장 구조를 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 섹션별 구조를 갖는 OPEN-ECG를 테그구조를 갖는 MFER로 나타내기 위해 OPEN-ECG의 섹션별 기술된 정보와 MFER의 테그사이에 맵핑구조를 구성하는 방법을 제시한다. 결과에서 프로토콜의 변환구조를 구현하고 결과를 제시함으로서 서로다른 저장 구조를 갖는 동일한 생체정보의 통합적인 관리가 가능함을 보인다.
