The main objectives of this study were to know the prevalence of cerebrovascular diseases, to find the important risk factors of cerebrovascular diseases. This study is a part of Eumseong Community Health Project supportes by GTZ(West German Goverment). 116 perceived cases of cerebrovascular diseases were first screened by health interview and examinations and 80 cases were diagnosed as a cerebrovascular group. For comparison, 80 cases were matched with their neighbor controls of the same sex and the similar age. 1. The prevalence rate for cerebrovascular diseases was 476.3 per 100,000 population which is considered to be very high compared with that of other countries. Age adjusted rate for cerebrovascular diseases was 261.6 per 100,000. 2. Among the risk factors examined for the association with cerebrovascular diseases by case-control study, and analysed by paired marginal test(McNemar's $X^2$-test) and odds ratio, only hypertension showed high significant statistical association.
한국 도시의 만성호흡기 질환 이환율에 영향을 주는 요인

이호흡기 질환에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명 하고져 대기오염 측정망이 있는 우리나라 52개 주요 도시의 오존 측정 자료와, 전국 건강보험 자료에서 같은 도시의 만성 호흡기 질환 이환율을 측정하고, 통계청 자료를 이용하여 52개 도시를 생태적 특성으로 분류하였고 52개 도시를 분석단위로 생태적 연구를 실시하였다. 연구 결과 우리나라 주요도시의 만성 호흡기 질환 이환율은 서울이나 수도권 보다 해안 산업화 도시가 높은 경향을 보였다. GIS에 의한 만성 호흡기 질환 이환율과 오존농도의 분포는 매유 유사하였다. 호흡기질환에 영향을 주는 요인은 호흡기 질환 입원율과 외래 방문율 모두 오존 농도와 해안지역이 영향을 미친 것으로 보이나 노인인구 비율 변수를 추가하면 노인인구 비율이 높은 영향을 미쳤고, 흡연비율과 해안지역이 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구 결과로 만성호흡기질환에 영향을 주는 요인은 노인인구비율은 물론이고, 오존농도와 흡연비율, 해안 도시 등이 위험요인으로 작용할 가능성 있는 것으로 보이지만 이연구결과 만으로 단정 하기는 어렵다. 따라서 향후 만성호흡기 질환관리를 위하여 보다 구체적인 위험요인 규명이 필요하다고 생각된다. Purpose: To evaluate the factors affecting hospital utilization for respiratory diseases by ecological study design and GIS tool. To raise the social concern for respiratory disease by the result. Methods: Hospital admission data supported by national health insurance cooperation were transformed to spread sheet data format and combined with air monitoring dataset. Air pollution data were collected from the annual report of air monitoring published by Korea Ministry of Environment. Socioeconomic statistics including population density, age distribution, forest ratio etc .. were filed using Korea National Statistical Office database. Multiple linear regression analysis was performed to evaluate the factors affecting hospital utilization for respiratory diseases. Analytical unit was 52 cities. Results: The factors affecting hospital utilization for respiratory diseases were the proportion of population 60 years and over, seaside city, 03 level, smoking rate. Conclusions: However, outdoor pollutants monitoring data and smoking rate have weakness in reflecting individual exposure. Further research is required to propose more illustrative means to evaluate causal relationship between air pollution and respiratory health effect factors.

In this paper, it is presented a new scheme of adaptive control system to implement real-time control of robot manipulator. Unlike the well-established theory for the adaptive control of linear systems, there exists relatively little general theory for the adaptive control of nonlinear systems. Adaptive control technique is essential for providing a stable and robust performance for application of robot control. The proposed neuro control algorithm is one of learning a model based error back-propagation scheme using Lyapunov stability analysis method. Through simulation, the proposed adaptive control scheme is proved to be a efficient control technique for real-time control of robot system using Digital Signal Processors.

In this paper, it is presented a new approach to the design of intelligent control system of a autonomous robot with two drive wheel. The proposed control scheme uses a Gaussian function as a unit function in the fuzzy neural network, and back propagation algorithm to train the fuzzy neural network controller in the framework of the specialized learning architecture. It is proposed a learning controller consisting of two neural network-fuzzy based on independent reasoning and a connection net with fixed weights to simply the neural networks-fuzzy. The performance of the proposed controller is shown by performing the computer simulation for trajectory tracking of the speed and azimuth of a mobile robot driven by two independent wheels.

홍채진단은 홍채의 패턴, 색, 기타 다른 특징들을 조사하여 환자의 병을 진단하는 대체의학이다. 그러나 기존의 연구는 흑백 홍채영상을 이용하여 홍채 내의 특정 패턴을 검출하는 알고리즘 연구로 홍채의 칼라 정보로부터 건강상태를 체크하는 진단시스템으로 사용하기에는 부족하다. 본 논문에서는 칼라 홍채영상과 의료정보 데이터베이스를 이용하는 홍채진단시스템을 개발하였다. 개발한 시스템은 홍채카메라는 갖는 입력모듈, 홍채병소징후 검출 모듈, 의료정보 데이터베이스, 출력 모듈 등 4가지 모듈로 되어있다. 칼라 홍채영상으로부터 7가지 주요 홍채병소징후를 추출하고 검진의 정확도를 위해 병소 수동 편집 기능을 제공한다. 병소를 분석하는 단계에서는 홍채학에 기반한 의료정보와 개인 이력 관리 모듈을 이용한다. 제안한 시스템은 기존 시스템의 비해 다양한 기능이 추가되어 홍채진단 시스템으로 활용 가능하다. Iris diagnosis is an alternative medicine technique whose proponents believe that patterns, colors, and other characteristics of the iris can be examined to determine information about a patient's systemic health. However, because most of previous studies only find a sign pattern in a gray iris image, they are not enough to be used for a iris diagnosis system. In this paper, we developed an iris diagnosis system based on a color image processing and iris medical information stored in database. The system includes four modules : input module with an iris camera, iris signs extraction module, medical database, output module with printing. Based on a color image processing approach, this paper presents the extraction algorithms of 7 major iris signs and correction manually for improving the accuracy of analysis. We can use the iridology and patient's health DB in the stage of signs analysis. Compared with the existing system, the developed system can be applied to an iris diagnosis system since it provides various additional functions.

The equipment of industrial robot in manufacturing and assembly lines has rapidly increased. In order to achieve high productivity and flexibility, it becomes very important to develop the visual feedback control system with Off-Line Programming System(OLPS). We can save much efforts and time in adjusting robots to newly defined workcells by using OLPS. A proposed visual calibration scheme is based on position-based visual feedback. The calibration program firstly generates predicted images of objects in an assumed end-effector position. The process to generate predicted images consists of projection to screen-coordinates, visible range test, and construction of simple silhouette figures. Then, camera images acquired are compared with predicted ones for updating position and orientation data. Computation of error is very simple because the scheme is based on perspective projection, which can be also expanded to experimental results. Computation time can be extremely reduced because the proposed method does not require the precise calculation of tree-dimensional object data and image Jacobian.
