Since services in ATM networks are very various and the characteristic of traffic from services is very different from each one, shared buffer mechanism, that shares only one buffer, cannot satisfy QoS, requirement for traffics. Furthermore, it has more difficulty in controlling composite cells in buffer when large ATM switch is implemented. In this paper, we propose cell service scheduling of separated routing allocation mechanism that allocates respective, independent buffer to cells with same traffic characteristic according to priority. We analyzed its performance using computer simulation. Then, we obtained cell loss probability changing buffer size and weighted value, when cell service scheduling is done by unsymmetrical round-robin depending on weighted value that is allocated to respective buffer.

In this paper, we propose a method to determine optimal wave source for mobile telephone communication. The approach is based on wave propagation simulation. Given a wave source we can determine wave propagation effects on every surfaces of wave simulation environment. The effect is evaluated as a cost function while the source's position x, y, z work as variables for a parameter optimization, Wave propagated in 3 dimensional space generates reflected waves whenever it hits boundary surfaces. If a receiver is away from a wave source, it receives multiple waves which are reflected from various boundary surfaces in space. Three algorithms being implemented in this paper are based on a raytracing theory. If we get 3 dimensional geometry input as well as wave sources, we can compute wave propagation effects all over the boundary surfaces. In this paper, we present a new approach to compute wave propagation. First approach is tracing wave from a source, Source is modeled as a sphere casting vectors into various directions. This approach has limit in computing necessary wave propagation effects on all terrain surfaces. The second approach proposed is tracing wave backwards : tracing from a wave receiver to a wave source. For this approach we need to allocate a wave receiver on every terrain surfaces modeled, which requires enormous amount of computing time. But the second approach is useful for indoor wave propagation simulation. The last approach proposed in this paper is tracing sound by geometric computation. We allow direct, 1-reflection, and 2-reflection propagation. This approach allows us to save in computation time while achieving reasonable results. But due to the reflection limitation, this approach works best in outdoor environment.

This experiment was carried out to investigate the proper callus induction and growth in peppermint. The optimum culture condition for callus induction was in MS medium containing 2ppm 2, 4-D with leaves as explant and light had no influence on callus formation. Lin-Staba medium was more proper for subculture regardless of kinds of growth regulators. Stationary phase in cell suspension culture was observed between 10 and 14 days.

UIMS의 연구결과를 DBMS의 사용자 인터페이스 개발에 적용하면서 여러 UIMS의 연구 방향을 평가하고 가장 효과적인 UIMS를 선택한다. 선택된 UIMS, structure Editor Generator(SEG)를 이용하여 여러 DBMS 사용자 인터페이스(확장된 포옴과 QBE)를 개발하므로써 SEG 선택의 타당성을 보인다. SEG의 그래픽으로의 확장에 따른 문제점에 대해 고찰한다. This paper applies the result of UIMS(user interface management system) research to building user interfaces for DBMS. Through this process, we evaluate the current research directions of UIMS and select the most potential approach of UIMS research, structure editor generator(SEG). SEG is used to build extended Form interface for DBMS and simulate QBE interface. The extension of SEG into graphics is discussed.
